Oh Judi sweetheart, I was not aware of all your troubles. I do hope it all clears up really soon and you can get back to normal. Let your family make a fuss of you and enjoy the rest because once your back sewing there'll be no stopping you, after all that rest, and if your like me designing in your head, then you will have plenty to do once you're well again. Take care my friend and I'll keep you in my prayers and thoughts.
Hugs Jane.

Judi I am so sorry to hear of this awful thing you have been going through. I pray that you will have a full and speedy recovery.... sending     to see you through...
Oh BLESS YOUR HEARTS... ALL OF YOU.
I was so nervous about posting this...I can hardly even say the word 'blindness'. By the grace of God and alol your kind thoughts and prayers I am getting better.
Your kind words have brought sunshine to my day.
The condition I was told is stress related and usually is a male dominated condition.
Wendy, yes, this is what my eye doc said too. Stress relases cortisol into yrou system which is what causes this. And it apparently affects men more than women. So then, how did I get so 'lucky'?
I think this may be a wake up call to de-stress myself. That is hard to do.
On another note...speaking of health, has anyone had stomache flu this season? Two of my children have it right now along with me. Last night was horrendous. I am feeling a bit better this morning. I still feel as if a truck has run over me but am still so pleased my eye is improving.
Wendy, how is your eye today? It si completely gone? I hope so.
Judy I am so glad you have defied the odds!!! Keep it up. Yes destress with the flu in the house....OMG. Horrors! You'll make it....just keep the meals simple....such as 7-up and tomato soup! Let it all slide this week too......it will all still be there when you all are back to being flu-less! Pam
Oh gosh Judi, I didn't realize that you had eye trouble like that. Praise God it is getting better and I hope it continues to improve. Maybe your right , sometimes we do need a wake up call to take it easy. Please take care and get well. As for the flu, we haven't had it in my house YET, but lots of people around here have. They said it is horrible this year. Totally wiped them out for days.
Hugs and prayers for a full recovery
Umm..... EDITED to add: I just had to pick my daughter up from school because she is hurling. I KNEW I should have kept my mouth shut
Dearest Judi,
I'm so sorry to hear of your eye troubles. I can only imagine what thoughts have been going through your mind. Not only as an artist, but as a mother and wife. I'm so happy to hear that you're improving.
How to de-stress? Oh, golly gee. Let me know when you get a handle on that one, 'kay?! Seriously though.....the key is to figure out where the stress is coming from. Are you trying to "do it all" by chance? You don't have to, you know.
I could go on and on but I've got a date with my own de-stresser......the gym and some heart thumping music!
Warmest and biggest bear hugs,

Oh Judi!! it is the hardest thing to lose your site. No matter how temporary.
Being a mother wife and having a high profile creative business really puts alot of pressure on you.
When it first started I didnt realise that my sight was going. I put it down to poor lighting where ever I was.
Until one morning I had to hold the sunday paper under the light in the living room to read the print and was still struggling. The next day I went to my optometrist for an eye test. She rang the specialist herself and I got an immediate appointment. He was only on the other side of the park. (this is in Sydney) I found my way easily but when the lift door closed the light was very dim and I totally lost all sight at that moment. My eyes wouldnt adjust from being in daylight. I couldnt find the button for the floor I needed and it was an old lift. I had my nose on the buttons trying to see when the lift door opened and I was standing in this odd manner. It really made people look at me odd. I asked for help. Which was given. But I found out that there are people out there that are not sympathetic to those with a handicap.
My condition blew the specialist away he moved me onto someone else who was a few buildings down. I blew him away as well  Neither had treated a woman with this condition let alone someone so young. By this time my eyesight had not recovered from the darkness of the lift.
I wasnt to see again for at least 6 weeks and it took a further 6 -8weeks before the blistering had settled down.
I spent 12 months in therapy learning to deal with stress and not to internalise it. It was a very expensive time.
It all started slowly......working full time studying fulltime in rehearsals almost fulltime. Then my wee baby Bill (silky terror) takes severely ill . Doesnt respond to any treatment and finally dies and ........I just refused to deal with it. I was at the vets everymorning at 6am with fresh roast chicken for his breakfast. Having had to walk there because there wasnt a bus at the right hour.
I was just dreadfully busy and just refused to deal with any of it. Until My body reacted in the only way it knew how. Losing your eyesight certainly makes you sit up and take notice.
The scaring is noticable apparently with their high powered machines. I have a standing appointment with my specialist here in Rocky. I have eye tests to do every week in order to be aware of any change. It is worrying but what can you do? just carry on as best as you can. I must admit, taking time out for meditation is brilliant.
I find it easy to relax these days. I can put myself under in only minutes and am unware I have until I come out of the hypnosis. So thats about the whole sorry story Judi. Doing tooo much and not dealing with stuff that needs tobe dealt with. I must appluad you for your ability and success at internalising stress.
Its a rare feat
Take care Judi  I do know what you are going through and I know, it's scary, real scary
Hope you feel better JUDI and all is sorted out soon....
Oh Judi, I was waiting to hear the outcome and I'm so relieved for you. I'll be praying for you that you make a full recovery. Hugest huggles hon

Thank you so much ladies.
Gosh Wendy, your story is amazing. I had no idea you had a problem with your eyes. The work you do with yrou aers and platys and all crearures is extrordinary. I am going to try meditating. I have heard this works wonders....now I have to try and make myself take a time out every day. Boy, if the mind and spirit isn't in harmony how the rest of the body be?
I don't know how I missed this post.
Even though I knew the goods news - Judi dear heart, I am so glad you are on the mend hon. My thoughts have been with you.   wow what a relief. your hubby and family must be so happy about it.

I think any of us could contemplaint a world without all your wonderful tiger, lions and bears.
It would definitely be a sadder world.
Meditation is really all you can do to keep it at bay
Perhaps this was one way for you to be brought to meditation and to learn to destress? REALLY, REALLY pleased to hear your eyesight is on the mend, but yes, please don't over do too much too soon.
