Has anyone done a Teddy Bear Picnic or Tea for Children? I plan on doing one as a fund raiser for the Moon Bears. I have all kinds of ideas for things to do, but don't know what to charge for the event. All monies will go to the Moon Bears, I plan on doing ribbons for the bears, having snack, coloring, game, and info about moon bears, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. What would be too expensive for children..................or should I just have the event and ask for donations?

thanks for any thoughts.............

I can only tell you that there is no charge for the one done locally here, put on by the library. They do it as a fund-raiser event. I haven't attended so don't know how they actually end up raising money but I'd say a donation is a great idea. You could have a table set up at the enterance. I know this really great guy who could greet people and collect money!! David something......  bear_grin

Oh, just remembered another TB picnic that's an annual event at the minor league baseball field. They charge $10 per child and have a LOT of activities and prizes and vendors too.

Thanks Daphne, would really like to know how they raise funds when they don't charge admission! I think with the adults I will have a donation bucket out, and the $1.00 per ticket raffle for the Moon Bear. I don't really like the idea of just a donation bucket for children, but I will give it lots of thought!
