Has anyone done a Teddy Bear Picnic or Tea for Children? I plan on doing one as a fund raiser for the Moon Bears. I have all kinds of ideas for things to do, but don't know what to charge for the event. All monies will go to the Moon Bears, I plan on doing ribbons for the bears, having snack, coloring, game, and info about moon bears, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. What would be too expensive for children..................or should I just have the event and ask for donations?
thanks for any thoughts.............

I can only tell you that there is no charge for the one done locally here, put on by the library. They do it as a fund-raiser event. I haven't attended so don't know how they actually end up raising money but I'd say a donation is a great idea. You could have a table set up at the enterance. I know this really great guy who could greet people and collect money!! David something......
Oh, just remembered another TB picnic that's an annual event at the minor league baseball field. They charge $10 per child and have a LOT of activities and prizes and vendors too.
Thanks Daphne, would really like to know how they raise funds when they don't charge admission! I think with the adults I will have a donation bucket out, and the $1.00 per ticket raffle for the Moon Bear. I don't really like the idea of just a donation bucket for children, but I will give it lots of thought!
