Any bear designed by Lisa of Oz Matilda Bear Co.  is bound to be fantastic.  How cute!

White Forest

Hmmm....I didn't see it as gloating at all.  I saw it as simply a factual statement, which it is.  I'm totally bummed that TBS stopped publishing, it was/is a great mag, but from a marketing standpoint their competitors that are still going strong should be all over it.  They ARE the only UK bear mag now.  JMHO.

White Forest

That is a beautiful 4 page article that TBCI did on you Bobbie.  It's very well written and they used beautiful photos.  I'm sure you'll get a huge response if you haven't already.  Congrats!

White Forest

I love TBCI!  In fact they have always been beyond wonderful to deal with.  Plus the exposure I've recieved from being in their mag has always been outstanding.

They're grrrreat!  Oh boy I sound like Tony the Tiger.  I must really need major amounts of coffee and chocolate.  bear_laugh

White Forest

I have full blown conversations with my cats.  I really do.  Then Jack will hear me and say "Cut it out! You're doing it again!". lol  bear_shocked

White Forest

Wow! What gorgeous bears!  Way to go you guys!  I'm sorry they won't be in the mag, but they sure are wonderful!

Felt just isn't felt unless it's 100% wool.  bear_original

I like etsy, but I've never gotten a sale from it.  I migh put some dolls on it and see how they do.  It seems lower priced items sell better.

I just see it as another form of advertising.  It's fun to browse as people make the most incredible things!

White Forest

Now you have to pay to be listed in the UK (10 - 40 cents I think).  I tried to upgrade my listing, but I can't find the option like they said I would.  bear_angry

I think this new feedback system is horrid.  I've been reading on the Seller Central board about it.

However they DID count ALL feedback now, instead of just unique ones, so my FB rating went up over 30 this morning.

White Forest

That is a shame if that show will not be held anymore.  It was a nice show.

I had mine pulled for saying "see my about ME page to find a link to our website", or something similar, which was at one time within the rules, but now is not.

Chrissi is right - They rely on members to turn people in.  It's been happening quite a bit lately in the bear category.  bear_sad

If you have ANYTHING in your ad about your email, your site, or even MENTIONING either of them I suggest taking it out.  They will get pulled eventually and you'll lose your listing fees.

White Forest

You should all send it immediately to me....

I haven't done any shows, but I do have bears on layaway and things like that, so i went to IKEA and bought some nice glass display cabinets.  They were under $100 each and have a light.  I love them, and I'm going to get a few more of them.  They are expensive everywhere else, but the IKEA ones are just right, and it looks great!

I just sent a bear to Australia this morning. I printed International Priority online and it was $23.99(you get a discount if you pay & print online) for a package just under 2 lbs.

Ooh! I didn't know there was a discount! I've only printed UPS online thorugh paypal or the UPS Site.  Do you have to have particular labels or something to print USPS postage?  Actually I should check their site out about it.  Thanks for the tip!

White Forest

Also, I never ship First Class Int'll because it doesn't offer enough insurance coverage, and I won't take the risk of not having coverage.

White Forest

How big is the box? What is the weight?
Go to usps.com and you should just plug in the data and they will give you a price, and you don't have to put in any contact info.

I am in San Diego and I ship to Australia quite often.  My big 18" bears I ship in a 14x14x14 box , and it is about $40 to ship, with insurance, and the smaller ones I put in a 9x9x9 box and it's about $30 or so. (Just off the top of my head).

I found that USPS Priority or Express Mail International is the most cost effective.  UPS and FEDEX are crazy for Int'll shipping.

I do all my domestic shipping via UPS Ground as it's very reasonable, and people can track their packages.

1x.jpgHere's a cute panda that was a custom order.  His name is Lewellyn and he is made from white and hand-dyed violet mohair.  Jack gave him wonderful paw pads, and I love his oversized eyes.

White Forest

15x.jpgThis is Laddy, a cute 12" bear that is a custom order.  He is made from antique brown mohair that I just love.  This is one of our newest styles, and I really like it.

Hugs,
Erin

Erin, isn't it fun to get a new fur order? I am running out of room though. I need to use up what I have first, but since I have been doing custom morework lately, I don't always have what I need for what the collector wants me to make.

Yes I love to get new fur in!  Funny thing is just before I read your post I was looking at my stash thinking that i don't have any more room for it. lol

White Forest

It's 5:30 AM here, and I am just having some coffee to wake up.  I finished stuffing several bears yesterday, and I have an Intercal order that should arrive today. (The nice thing about living within a few hours of Intercal is that I usually get my orders the next day or 2 days after.)  Then I'll have some custom bears to start working on.  I should probably dye some fur today too.  That's what I'm up to.  Busy as usual, but it's a happy busy!  bear_laugh

I had a shock a while ago at the PO, so I've almost entirely switched to UPS.
