As mentiont in the other thread about this seller, she had 2 patterns of me listed. I wrote this to the seller:
Please remove my pattern. If not removed this afternoon, I report to eBay!! I am member of eBays VERO programm. You can NOT resell my patterns. I am the copyright holder and what you do is against the law.
Within 5 minutes she replied: no Problem,is Ok. Greetings Micha.
and ended the listings of my patterns prompt.
Maybe she does not know that what she is doing is agains the law.. I told her that she could expect more complains, so maybe she is going to remove the other patterns too.. if you have a pattern from you there.. just write to her first, I am sure she wil remove it too.
Not everyone knows that it is wrong and a warnings like this, from the designer to the person directly, could help already.
It is such a hassel to go through eBay (belive me, I know) to have the patterns removed by eBay. Special because she is from another eBay site (Germany) it takes even longer. In the mean time the auction ends and the patterns are sold already.
Wel, hope this helps others.
Berta
She has 2 of my patterns and writes this is from a BB? What does BB mean?
I only sell these as a pattern only, never were published in a book and have these on eBay myself.
The last weeks I feel I do nothing else as playing policeman, I spent houres and houres to have my book removed from picasa, last week someone sent me a warning my patterns were free to download on a Russisch website ( I stil try to figure out who to contact to have these removed) and now this seller on eBay, selling my patterns..
It makes me think about quiting with selling my patterns...sigh..
Gues I need to write to eBay now..I am so tired of this!!!!!!
Thank you for posting!!
Berta

Me again....Tuesday night in Wald-Michelbach is "barenfreund club" night...so I took the new TBS along....MUCH oohing and aaahing over the bears, but JANE - everyone was totally gob-smacked and awestruck (?stricken ) with your needle-felting!!! Just thought you'd like to know!
And as an aside - Barenfreund club is a bit of a joke - most of them knit socks (!) - I could hardly contain myself when the "sock maniac" tonight admitted that her husband has some 200 pairs of socks...WHY???????????

Got my magazine today and so happy to see my N.O.S.T.© got nominated. It is a new direction I am working on since a long time. The "old days" direction, I just love the traditional old style bears and to archieve their shape in crochet is quiet a challenge each time.
I have posted my nominated bear picture in the other topic. Thank you to all I received already congratulations from, here in the forum and privat.
Congratulations to all other nominated artist. Wow Samantha, 2 times congratulations, I come see them both in real at Hugglets! Abraham the Lion is a biggie for you isn`t it?
And Maria`s bear on the cover.. and oh..I also have N.O.S.T. Climbing bear in the Hugglets Show Review. The idea is from push up childrens toy... So much nice things in this magazine!!
Good luck to all!!

Hi Shelly,
My latest traditional pattern design is with bent legs. You find him at the Hugglets show preview on my website.
I made the design for a straight leg first, and cut it at the place were the knee is. Than I bent these paper shapes like a leg should bent, the back side is getting shorter, the front side longer...does this makes sence? and draw along the entire piece. This makes a permanent bent leg. The same technic you can use for the arms. My pattern is for a mini bear.
Good luck!!
Berta
PS: I love the Spell Check button.. here I can check how bad my english is and make corrections..lol.
Workshop proto type "Gift from the Heart" and N.O.S.T. New Old Style Ted with needle lace collar.
I am learning this needle lace, called Oya, it is so pretty!
Berta

Wow, thank you so much for all your great replies and experience you had yourself with reading patterns. It is greatly appreciated and all suggestions, ideas and experience help me with preparing, and what is important to teach.
I too had to teach myself how to read patterns. My mother teached me the basic crochet stitches but never teached me abbreviations.
I learned by "looking", which I think is by far the best way to learn.
Many crochet patterns here in the netherlands and europe, like for doilies or curtains or filet crochet are not written but drawings.
Also japanese patterns are mostly drawings.
Do you have experience with these? Do you like them? Do you prefer "written" before "drawings"?
Thanks again,
Berta
