My budgie actually talks to me. He understands yes and no. He asks for his yumyum's, which is brocolli. He knows where it is kept. He tells me when he has pooped. (unable to toilet train him though). He will land on my shoulder give me a kiss on the cheek, tells me he loves me, and then troofs off. (I thought I was special until I saw him kiss the teddy and tell him he was a precious treasure)
He understands many comands, he's quite intelligent. The idea , if you wish to get the most out of a pet is respect and freedom. Take advantage of their natural abilities and pecidillos.(sp?) Animals are amazing if allowed to be who they truely are.
People dont see beauty when its is slap bang infront of them!!!!!!!!!!
And yes, what I have said is for real. My friends call me the bird whisperer!!!!!
hEATHER THE GREEN PARROTS ,(WHICH THEY CALL 28s) are wild birds. They get a wild bird feed mix twice aday. There are six that visit my garden. Some times all at once.My little garden feels like an airport at times.
The older male birds give a special call , which I interpret to mean " get our tucker ready now misses" I pop feed into their dish and give an answering whistle. Then they come down and boss the doves around. The feed is rationed so they dont come to depend too much on me. I have an elderly neighbour(90yrs) who just loves to see the birds come into his garden. Its rather romantic to watch the male parrots feed their wives. They're so cute  I did have better photos ,but I accidently deleted from the camera. I made sure it didnt happen this time. Matilda
THAT WAS QUICK!!!!!!! EILEEN!!!!!!!!

MY KITCHEN
I used to have a hybrid called Petey Parakeetie.

Here in Western Australia they call parakeets "wiros" Oh no!! thats cockatiels. Then what on earth is a parakeet.? (besides budgie)
Marmalade is from a pattern from one of those aussie bear mags. He does'nt look like this, this one is my interpretation. The one in the book was too plan for me. Even though I liked him. He's one of those spontaneous bears.
I havent finished my latest bear. Tore his nose off. did'nt like it. I painted the toes. Don't them either.
It was so much easier making bears when I did'nt have a clue. Now I expect perfection, but I'm not that brilliant.

 ...There's no doubt in my mind. I :love:him!!!!!!
She's beautiful!!
   :dance:When mere words dont say enough!!!!
...I really feel like I need a stiff drink...but since the cause of my having to dismiss someone today was that they turned up at work rolling drunk...
Jenny sent this drunken broad overhere. We could do with a drunken-hairdresser. It would probably be an improvement to the last hair do I suffered.
I now suffer' hairdresser phobia'

no wonder I've had trouble with minis. I did'nt have such fantastic advise.
I know I did'nt pose the original question, but I will certainly benefit from your instructions. Thankyou all   Cum- on- givvus- a- hug  Matilda

This is what I did today -Saturday.
My back yard is only 6 x 7 metres. These parrots have trained me so well that they call to let me know they are arriving so I will fill their dish for them. (Cheeky beggars)These parrots dont squawk. They have a pretty bell like trillAnd I cant resist one more pic of my baby with his special bear.
So this is the bear! Goodness gracious! how could anyone in their right mind not be thrilled with this beautiful bear. Wll this lady cant be all there, that's all)
I
bluebell &buttercup!!!
Really lovely. He has that real professional polish  Love the fabric. I've not seen that one before.Matilda

This last photo are of the makings of two minis. They've been waiting for a few years now to be finished.
As you may see. I was trying out new ideas, on how to put them together. These bears are 2 1/2inches .The joint disks are 6mm.They were so fiddly I have no idea how I got the foot pads sewn on.
I "m not really fussed with making the little ones. They make my fingers ache.
I made these two about 4years ago.they are 4 1/2 & 5 1/2 inches standing.(the tan ones)
Rosey was my very first mohair bear, also my first mini. She's such a silly little thing :)
I admire all mini makers  Give me 6inch or bigger, Thankyou
Matilda
Marion I love your clowns
Ricki your bears are just so cute &
Terri what lovely little scruffs.

Eileen , I went into Corel.com it looks real interesting. Have saved it to favorites to check out later. Thankyou.
Finally getting the hang of all this stuff now. Long way from being a pro though
:lol:Matilda

This black foot has needle felted paw.
This is what I'm working on at the moment.
She's nearly finished now. I took the
oportunity while the computer was gone.
This is bluebell in fullsize. 6 1/2inches of her.
This wee birdy is my baby , Elliott. He loves this bear. He kiss's Marmalades nose and tells him that he loves him. ....He's just so cute.... (but then I'm his mummy)
This colourful wee thing is the very first attempt at needle felting. I decided to do a wee bear, just to see wether I was able to do this needle felting thingy. Sorry about the tinny tiny pic but I saved them to file as thumbnails The other was edited in fishbowl .
She's thread jointed and has a bead at her neck. The multi colours are alpaca. I overlaid it on the cream. She has the tiniest blue beads for eyes. On the last thumbnail you can see if you get out the magnifyer, a wee gild flower shape bead at her neck.I do alot of this type of jointing with minitures.
This wee old farie is'nt needlefelted but she does have beaded joints .
Could'nt resist one more pic of my baby
I'm on my fourth needle felted project now. I found it really easy to pick up. It has given me a flexibility in my bear designs that I never thought I could achieve. Take it up . Give it ago. It may or may not be your thing. But dont let anything else stop you because with needle felting you just never know. You could be another JUDI waiting in the wings.!!!!!
Matilda
Hope you have enjoyed my babies.
Helena!!!! p*** her off. Get the bear back and dont do business with her again. With commissions, you rule the roost. Do not let your customers lord it over you. As you have found out, they take advantage. Allow them to choose only from fabric you have in stock.
Now!!! I ordered some doorhandles from and artist who's work I absolutely adore. It took some time for them to arrive because she was making them for me specially. When I opened the parcel, they were the wrong ones, instead of being disappointed, I placed another order for more doorhandles. I didn't have the heart to disappoint her ,by letting her know they weren't the correct ones. "I love them regardless". I'm going to put them on a dresser in the bedroom. What I'm trying to say is the difference in the fabric's colour was too small for her rude behavior. Matilda
"WING DING'S"
:doh:Matilda
Well, I have no idea what I'm doing . My camera that is only a week old came with some soft ware. I put my bears under a lamp and shot. Then I loaded them into the computer and used the editing features. Wal'la.
I do plan to get a light tent. I printed it off of a site that the link was posted here at teddytalk by someone.

All the best. Matilda  (I luv this little guy doing the jig)
It's that horrid stuff that carnival bears are filled with. It's non-cuddly and noisy.
I also spent a childhood in the country. Straw certainly smells nice but awfully prickly!! Matilda
