Well you wouldn't read about it. It always happens to me. Doesn't matter how much I ask a service clerk. Doesn't matter how much information I give them. I always seem to take home the wrong equipment.
I bought a digital camera today. Was really looking forward to surprising you all with pics of my bears.
They are so photogenic as well.(just like their mum:lol:) Even took photos of my kitchen. They look like they came out great. But I couldn't down load the bl***y things. After spending ages downing added updates and downing software. grrrrrrrrr! It makes me so cross!
I suppose Ill have to go back over to the shopping centre tomorrow(public holiday) and see what can be done. It will probably cost me money. These things usually do ,ummph!  Bugga.

My bears are real, I'm not a crazy person. Honest. (well not real but' for real' ) I do make teddy's honest!   All this technology is very trying.
The pics are on their way .....Matilda:)

matilda

OooohhH! Dilu sorry about your sun flowers. :(I planted some seeds last week. A few seedlings have already shot up. The blim'n
birds got the rest. The wild flowers have started over here. Masses upon masses of flowers . acres and acres of
them. SORRY...that was insensitive of me. I'll say no more about how beautifullywarm it is over here. Birds are courting, building nests, hatching their young. SORRY.. there I go again. I better log off now.
:(I am really sorry about your flowers. I is awlful to see anything especially something so magnificent as a sun flower curl up its toes.           Maybe you could loan them your wooll:)en socks. (sorry had to say. it was just waiting to be said)

It truly is a wonderful life, I am so grateful to be alive.

One of the most full of joy experiences, for me, is coming here.  I believe that you ladies here are so positive, so supportive and so joyful in your lives.  I believe that you share and express this joy in your bears, and in your posts.  I don't think that you ladies understand how incredable you are, and what a joy you are to so many of us.

:P

I think this pretty much says it all..........

My story wasnt about getting a kitchen or rewards. It was about excepting an acknowledging that good things happen to us,and we should'nt feel guilty. There are people that like us, and we shouldnt ask why. Accept all the good that comes to you with an open and loving heart.
When they say what comes around goes around, BOY IS THAT SO TRUE.

Rita ,,what Penny said!!  Penny that bear is brilliant.

Rita is it a traditional or an aged bear?
I would have chosen a different fabric .sparse, felted , in a gold or tan, maybe reddish shades.
I would slim down the shoulders and thighs.
The fabric you chose is what I usually choose for tummys and for mini bears. I've also used it on paws and feet.
I think the fabric you are after is a "no hair mohair".  For a modern bear I love him. He may not be the traditional bear you're after, but shade his feet ,shoulder and chest area give him a big bow and you have yourself one spectacular bear.  All the best on your next pattern.

bear_grin:lol::lol:by crikey Deb you're a little bottler!!!:lol::lol:

Nanc , I just had to email that sign to my self.!!:lol: you guys crack me up:lol:

Brilliant site Jenny! But unfortunately they have a minimum order policy. Their bear eyes and noses are wonderful. The professional bearmakers should have a wee gander at this site.  Spot light dont have them and the ones et edinurgh imports alas are not what I'm after. I'm looking for the toy eyes the big bulging frog eyes.  I dont make realistic creatures. Mine are more cartoony. I know they exist, I just dont know where?
What I have been thinking though, and thankyou all for the time you have put into this for me, well I have been thinking that maybe after Judi's workshop I should have a better idea what to do. I should have more options anyway. It should lead me to a solution.   matilda

But not overly adult either. ) CARTOONS...Wallace & gromit, Postman Pat(his cat Jess is needle felted) Bob the Builder(my budgie sings the theme song when it comes on)Sheeep,
TV Shows...Dr Who (old & new) Mash, Inspector Rex, Heart Beat, Spicks &specks( aussie panel comedy type show) Glass House(same sort of thing)Monk,Blue Heelers The Bill(use to ,but its getting a bit soapy)I love antique and global travel shows. I especially love the mansion type shows. The ones that look at all those stately homes in Europe. I luv Burkes Backyard(finished now , real shame) Gardening Australia(ABC)and my all time favorite TV show is the Jamie Oliver's" Dinner Ladies"(must see viewing for all parents world wide. I will blow your mind)I also like HOW CLEAN IS YOUR HOUSE?( only for the sheer voyeuristic entertainment.) AND...I love the world movies channel!  Ok that's some of it. Dilu that sounds like a deadly weapon.  Loved all the wee creations. Dilu what wonderful big ears they have got:lol:
What would it be like if Hamsters were really that small & cute.
I popped on today because my wrist was twinging after all the needle felting these last two days. I still havent finished the foot pads. What surprised me about them was that I had drawn up a design and kept measuring it against the design as I was going , needle feltled them on and while I was adding the extra fluff and sculpting they seemed to take on a life of their own. They dont even look close to my original design, they look better. The last toes I did resembled pinched toes. These ones are different. I was aiming at a design I did with trapunta paws. But they are different to that again. Cant wait to show you all. One week to go!!!!
Where would we be without Judi to inspire us on to brilliance. Such fun we are all having with it. I am positivly glowing with vitality at the moment.  Thankyou for being such passionate funny people.

Judi is there no limit to your creativity:lol:!!!
come on ladies lets give JUDI BIG HUGS!!!!:):):)

matilda

Brilliant idea possum!!. Thankyou eileen. (is'nt that a song)

I saved it to favorites will look at it later. Again thankyou.

matilda

Ooooh Gina, words can not express the love your son has for you......

I have a tear in eye I'm so happy for you. Ya Bugga:)

Pic's soon folks. patience.

matilda

I'm reluctant to say any more. I'm sure you are all going to get sick of my name. But.....
I attach me whiskers as Sueann says if The face is plucked, shaved& felted.  But when the face is left hairy I bunch my whiskers in say groups of 3 or 4. Once glued in place then they can be spread out a bit. It's less risk of glue spill when dealing with more hair.  And if there is anything than can be done to a bear to ruin it. I have done it:(

matilda

many years ago when it was'nt fashionable. I sculpted a nose in wax, right on the bears face. It did start out as a covering as you all have described , but somehow it went further. Layer upon layer and then came nostrils. It turned out great.

Your only limited by imagination........and it does'nt even have to be yours.....(I luv to laugh)

matilda

Rikki, You will be amazed at the amount of detail that needle felting can achieve. The finest detail that seemed prohibitive due to size on the mini's. That is why we have all become so ADDICTED. I only ever made one mini needle felted bear. He turned out so well that I personally couldnt be bothered spending all that time on a mini. Give me muzzles instead. I cant wait to get bears finished so I can get cracking with the needles on their faces.
I'm a total nut, I talk to them as I sculpt their little (or not so little) faces. I design my mohair faces so they can accomodate the felting. I have learnt so much from Judi on this particular technique that I'm in awe that she has more knowledge to impart. (she's my hero):lol:. I cant wait to do the felting class. But unfortunately I have to wait for the next one because my allowance hasnt come through yet. I have my fingers cross that everyone behaves themselves in the first class, because if you dont........ there might not be another.!:(
So be good kiddies, play nicely AND remember , an apple for the teacher.

matilda

some of my bears I have given little mouths that are something like the shape of an ear. I make a template out of felt first. an hold it under the bears muzzle. It can be brought forward , moved back a little . Pinch it a little. make bigger. make smaller.etc......When I have what I want with the felt I then make a pattern using the template make the lip & chin piece out of mohair and ultra suede etc and sew it on with ladder stitch. The mohair camoflages the fact that it is an add on and not a' true' open mouth design.
Important: do not trim until the very last minute. If you change your mind.........It wont grow back.
If your talking about thread mouths, I use pins to give me a basic shape. I use the same basic design on all my thread mouths.I also do not use the same thread as the nose. I mean , that I use a seperate piece of thread. I dont continue from the nose to the mouth. or embroider the mouth and then carry on with the same thread to do the nose.I finish the nose cut thread and use a new piece of thread for the mouth. I do not trim until after I have done the mouth. I use the end of a scewer to comb the mohair out of the way . I make a part for the embroidery thread. Its only after this that I think about the hair cut.
There are so many options, explore them.   I now needle felt my muzzles , so they have lovely little mouths and tongues.:)      Some times it can be too much information:lol: Have fun & play nicely

matilda

I love BOBO. I love that red fabric.  I've seen this in one of my catalogues and wondered.....................
