Hi Kimberly:
What a cute couple of bears  !! I would not be able to choose one!! Your noses are soooooooo great!! That is the part of bear making that i still don't enjoy as much. I like to do diferent noses, they can add to the bear a lot . I have my "times" when my noses come out perfect and then...Other times I have to said forget it and give the bear one sculp nose. What show are you getting ready for?
Hope you are having a great Saturday

Hi Sheila
I am so glad to hear that you are doing well. My knee is in really bad ( bone to bone!) shape and I have to have the surgery done. My doctor wants to wait because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and have been on steroids for a long time, my immune system is bad and he is afraid of infections. I am taking a new medicine and I hope that it makes my RA. go on remission that way I can have the surgery done. Pain, all the time, is not fun and I heard that after you heal from the surgery the pain is gone. I am looking forward to that.
I tell you, like everybody have already done, take it easy, rest till you feel a 100 percent good. Just sit at the computer and chat with us!
BIG bear hugs.
Gladys.
Hello Everyone:
I finally was able to show a picture of one of my bears in here ( with my son's help! ) and I do have a picture on the Avantar too. The Avantar one is a picture of a couple of bears I made for our son's weeding anniversary and I did dress them like they were on their weeding day. The Sailor bear has just a collar and a hat. Normaly I don't dress my bears very much but, from time to time I do, like the spacial ones for our son's and his wife Lisa.
You all are so good and designing !! I will real appreciate if you tell me what do you think of my bears.
I am happy that I can show bears in here now! I love to share and see other peoples' bears.
Have a nice weekend.

Dear Melissa
I can understand what you are going through. I was terrified of loosing my Mom to Cancer for so many years! The fear of that and that it will be a painful death ( on top of your grandmother having it ) is big, but I am telling you there is nothing really written about Cancer. My Mom had ovarian Cancer when I was 13 years old and she was only 53 years old, she had surgery and was send home to die.....She did not. Later in life she had Cancer of the Liver, still lived throught it. Then she had a bleeding tumor between her kidneys and bladder.. Yes..Cancer did take my Mom away and I would like so much to still have her with me but, she was going to be 80 when she die. In the death certificate says Leukemia what take her, my Mom would tell you it was her time. My mon always said, that when we are born we come to this life with a book under our arm and when the pages of the book are gone, then and not before, is when you have to leave this world. I know is hard but, think positive and encourage your mom and grandmother to do the same and pray. I will keep on praying too that our Lord help you all. Have Faith Melissa.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to help...I hope I did.
Bear hugs.
Gladys
Dear Melissa I am sorry for your pain. You are not alone ( you know it) we are a bunch of caring people that will pray for your Grandmother, Mom and for yourself. from our hearts.
God bless.

Hi Kim I like to put on my boys bears all of the above ( not at once ! ) and a vest. They are not hard to make and different fabrics ( like Holiday print etc. ) gives them a diferent look. I have a pattern ( my own ) that gives the bears the look of an ederly bear and with them I started using the vest but, they can have a more young and palyfull look, depending on the fabric and bottoms. Hope that will help for future boys bears.

I want to thank you too Heather. It is so sad and true how ( some ) people think of animals as property or the week's toy. We had ( he is not with us anymore..he is running free and happy in doggy Heaven! ) a beautiful German Shepherd ( Oso ) that was given to us by a neighbor that said he was sooo bad!! He was keep in the back yard all the time and they say it did dig and took cloths from the line.. They were going to put him to sleep. We took him! ...He was such a good dog!! Never did nothing wrong with us but, he had to be put to sleep early in his life because he had Cancer in his neck cause, for what the vet told us, by the tight chain he was always tight with when he was with them. We gave him a few years of happiness and he was an inside dog, for us is the only way. They are part of the family!! Then, when we lost him, we went to a German Shepherd rescued center, we wanted one and came home with two!! A beautiful black one ( 14 months old ) that the lady that got him did not know nothing about the breed, got him as a puppy. He started growing, like they should... and she lived in a tiny apartment ( he was more that 100 pounds). The other was all white, the most beautiful German Shepherd I had ever seeing! Our son that went with us, was the one who told me Mom, look at that beautiful dog!! When I looked, he was hiding inside the kennels dog's house the lady that was in charge told me Oh!.. please take him..He is so sweet and he have been so abuse he was only 10 month old!! ) he does not have teeth on part of his mouth because his owner knocked them off ! She went in a took him out and I told her if I could go in and when I did and ped him...He was sooooooooooo scare!! We took him too!! To make a long happy story short, after loving him for one year he was happy and trusting. We had to put him down when he was 13 years old ( 115 pounds of happy dog!! ) but, he had Cancer in his bones. The vet told us, it was like a miracle that he was not in a lot of pain but, he started to just cry softly and it would had been very hard for him, from that point on and even if we cry, it was time to let him go. I think that to get a pet from a shelter is the best thing people can do, they have so much love to give!! Now I have two German S. ( sisters ) and a Cocker Spaniel that we found in the streets and two cats that a were born by the side of our garage and left by the Mom.
I am glad that so many people think like us about pets, they are part of the family and defenetly no "things" that you own.
Have a nice night.
Gladys
I like her Sabine!! Good job!

Hi
I love the chubby cheeks bears!! You all have done a GREAT job!! I just wanted to add that I do make a few stitches, from the top of the cheek ( right under the outside corner of the eye ) to the bottom of the cheek ( one side at a time). It is hart to explain and I am NOT too good at it!! At the same time I am making sure that the stuffing is toward the chick, working it with the needle if is needed. The stitches not only, when you pull can give a puffier cheek but, it helps to keep the stuffing secure in the cheeks.
I hope that you can understand ??
Have a great weekend.

Please let me know if some of you have one and what is your opinion of them.
