I love fairies.  I can't remember when I didn't.  Thanks so much for the wonderful site. bear_thumb

Summer5

Wow they are different.  Just how cuddlely would they be....or would you even want to cuddle one?

Summer5

Gorgeous pictures.  I really enjoy seeing where everyone lives.   bear_thumb

Okay, so being relatively new to the marketing end of this business and reading carefully all the comments herein; I personally feel as a bear artist I should now subscribe to more bear magazines and take an active part in advertising in them.  We have to be positive and each take responsibility to working towards an good outcome for the industry in general.  Let's keep the discussion going , I'm sure there are other suggestions out there that will help.

Summer5

You're right when you say there are no bear magazines around at the stores.  When I first started making bears about ten years ago there were lots of magazines available at the stores, now I have to subscribed to what I want and have it sent via mail.  Do you think everything goes in cycles, and right now beads and scrapbooking seem to be the poplar thing?  I know my sales to bear stores have declined and there isn't near the bear shows here in western Canada that there used to be.  I haven't as yet tried ebay or on -line auctions.  It can be disheartening, but I love making bears...so I just keep plugging along.

Summer5

That was so funny....thanks for the laugh.

Summer5

Thanks for your interest and help.  I think I do the string joints this time and if I enjoy doing minatures, I'll order what I need from Sassy's.

Summer5

Wonderful, we all need to remember the wisdom here.  Brought tears to my eyes.  Thanks for another great story. bear_thumb

Summer5

5 favorite animals

That's why I love the lake!

I have a client that has decided he would like me to make a small bear (2 1/2 inches) for his wife for Christmas.  I have never made a bear this tiny.  What do I use for joints?  I am at a loss here, need some advise.  Thanks.

Okay Sandi, I too am having a hard time with the blog thing, but joining Teddy Talk and now Art Cards, I am finding it easier to be myself and communicate on line with people of like interests.  I think maybe starting a blog now might be easier for me. I'm  almost ready to give it try.   bear_cry

Summer5

Have to confess - art cards is where I got this from....but thought it worthy enough for Teddy Talk too.
