Now that I have my committment done-I am in a quandry
Some of them simply don't seem good enough
Do you find yourselves in the same fix.....second guessing and wondering if you should hold back bears because it isn't "your best work"
I have already decided not to put up one of the girls, but I am considering a couple others too.....sigh
WHY do we always think we can do a little tiny bit better with the next kritter and are never satisfied with what we have created.....
Great! i have talked myself into this-I am at least three short on my committment now.....
Sorry Nancy, hon, i will try to make them up.....
i work better under pressure and mom is moving in Thursday....yep that should be enough pressure....................................................
thanks guys, I am looking for someone who has experience with the vector stuff, and how hard was it to learn.....
dilu
PS I have some broaderbund business cards and such posters, those were pretty intuitive
but before i spend $99 i wanted more input from folks who know
I am doing research for down the road......

Plus, who really wants to know what little 'ol me is up to?
I understand how you feel Daphne.
But one does not have to spill one's personal secrets all over the internet-what is revealed is what one chooses to reveal. And in an art centered blog what would be revealed would be about the art.
But if it is a way to promote one's art...update frequently....say a few personal things on the subject....it would seem that it quite likely will interest people interested in the art one does.
And one does not have to reveal much of their personal private life to still make a good blog, if it is an art centered focused blog site.
And Daphne, in your case, you could have had a whole blog on the Mimzy frenzy...it might have increased even more the interest in the bunnies. Who's to say?
But it does seem like a marketing tool that is easy to use, can link easily through rss feeds and keep one in touch more easily with others in the same field.
Thank you ladies. You certainly gave us all a lot to think about.
dilu
Inadvertently many of you experienced sellers have given those of us who still feel new and insecure alot to think about. I value that.
I think its part of what TeddyTalk is all about. Thank you!!
dilu
Hey Gaby! Welcome back!
Hope you feel better, hospitals can be such a drag-rules to follow, you can't just suddenly get a creative urge and tip toe into the sewing room and work madly away. They do frown on that....
Glad you are home, excited about your bears and digging out from under the snow.
Stay with us-don't go away agin...k?

Sorry Chloe
Go for it Louise, they are fast efficient and try so very hard to please us
RE: eyes if you buy eyes get the U shaped backs...they are wonderful and never crack or shatter when you crimp them---a very important selling point to me anyway.....

because I see that as a possible threat of retaliation should I dare to leave a negative.
Very well put, Sabine, and i think you are very correct!
Laura Lynn,
Have your tried buying only Canadian, European or American? We used to avoid China like the plague, but now? It is nearly impossible. And sometimes we think we suceeded, and then find a small print that says "Components made in China"
You are so right!!!!
Now, to try and show a glass half full; 30 years ago I couldn't afford silk to save my soul, now we can all buy silk for many projects, not just weddings. I am using silk floss for embroidery-for little nothing gifts...things that will be thrown away....who is as old as dirt like me and remembers silk being such a pricy commodaty we would never think of doing this?
Never-the-less, silk does not a full life make, and I agree our pets are our family and I believe we should have a criminal investigation.
If enough of us put pressure on our congressional representatives we can force their hand.......
PS thanks for that link-I'm going to sign up too
Karen,
Honey, I am counting on the gross incompetance-it may be what saves our society
OK i read it, but do not totaly understand it
Why would I think that anyone would want automatic updates to my site?
Why would i want the same from them?
And aren't you more likely to have computer problems, worms viruses etc?
Did any of this make sense?
I have seen some blogs, but never " live feeds" because they are so slow and time on the computer so precious that I can not do it all....so
Shelli
in your oppinion
which would be more benificial? A blog or a website?
dilu
Shelli:
entirely truck-driver-mouthed
All right now: Questions, even more basic:
What is RSS aggregate???
Flikr account???
Shelli is this something Technoklutz could get a grip on?

I think Heather brings up a valid point-
It too frequently seems that sellers are hedging their bets and not leaving feedback until they make sure you do-i think sometimes they want to be sure you leave a positive score
I have always been able to comply because I have always been happy-maybe I'm easy, or maybe lucky....I don't know
My hubby hasn't been so lucky and one time the seller refused to send the item....rather than wreck our feedback score,( because I was just getting started selling, lo those many months ago,) he simply did not leave feed back at all.
fortunetly the item he had "purchased" was very inexpensive and equally fortunetly that person seems to have dissappeared.
But like Heather said, it negates the true purpose of feedback and corrupts the system.
He also did not want to do the complaint-to-e-bay route.....
so the conumdrum continues....
Yes when we pay we have completed our part;
but equally important to our staisfaction is the state that the merchandise arrives in-so I don't leave feedback until I receive the item.
Best of luck figuring it all out-I surely haven't and doubt I will.....

dilu
And then there is last night, when I finally left feedback for a carpart he got months ago-he didn't complain and i wanted to clear out the feedback folder so....do i have any idea what part it was? Heck no! But i figured if he didn't complain it was a positive transaction....
PPS: I like to make a game out of feedback....what can I say using up all the letters with only 1 !.....sometimes not much, but I try....Some people get all clever with the different symbols and such, but I try to describe my feelings about the transaction
Well, Jodi,
How are you feeling now? Better? Rested? Or are your eyes crossed from all the reading?
Lets see this littleone you just finished......

I like to weigh down with glass bear feet and flat footed dolls to help them balance better when standing on their own.
However with the en-point ballerinas I stuff as firmly as I can but it is still not as hard as i would like-so am switching to kapok-its an ankle thing, ballerinas with weak ankles just don't cut it now do they....
Also some gollies have been made specifically to sit on ledges and i weighted their bottoms with steel shot so they wouldn't fall.....
don't want any Humpty-dumpty type accidents......
Welcome Brenda,
I posted once on Bearpile and it sold-so it does work
I prefer B4B and ebay but.....ebay is grtting frightfully expensive. it isn't too late to join B4B- doesn't cost you to join, just sign up and activate your account. Nancy is having a special artist thingy starting in April, but if you don't feel you can make the committment it doesn't matter, you can still join and sell there.
Send Nancy an e-mail: bears135@shaw.ca
welcome aboard here too!

OK the rat poison was in the Wheat Gluten that went into the animal food......
am I the only nutcase here to take this scenario to the next level......
cat food today
baby food tomorrow?
Maybe "THEY" did not know it was destined for animal food and really planned on it being in the human food chain?
So what does this sound like?
Starts with a T and its not a pretty thought. But it has made me rethink buying pre-prepared foods.......
dilu..... ever paranoid yet vigilant....and is it paranoia when the whole world hates you?
I think of mohair as uh....hair....I give it a rinse in conditioner when I get it, then shake it out and let it dry-this way i have a better idea of which way the hair wants to lie.
A then when the critter is done style if necessary...mohair is very forgiving, fun to work with and then lastly, I try to keep it in perspective.
Its a teddy
or a golly
and its supposed to be fun? Right?
