For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
Good for you Ann!
Yes, nut and bolt are a sure fire way to help the little dicken's stand. I usually use the ratchet and ratchet down as tight as I can and then back off 2 ratchet turns...
Don't forget, there really aren't any hard fast rules, if it works for you......it works for you!
Really looking forward to your work.
How did you like actually like working with the mohair?
dilu

Oh you are too cute! Yes I have been having an affair with Dave from UPS for many years now....come to think of it so has my hubby.... He brings so much fun into the house....
Aren't you clever changing things to fit your joints! I wouldn't have thought of that, or actually I would have, but seeing an opportunity for another order and I would have taken advantage of such an auspicious opportunity and reordered....gotta build up your supplies, ya know.....
don't know how long it takes you but we are all waiting for pictures....bet they will be wonderful!
gollyhugs'
dilu
SOOOOO? Are you going to bid on him?
I think if it were me I would try and buy the kritter back....especially yours cuz they are so cute....
Hmmmm....where's that listing......
I would think that it depended on the type of pairing....
I have a ballerina holding her arabesque pose and her baby-they have to go together
yours are adorable little ones, aren't they, but they don't seem like they have to go together.....
What do you want to do? Do you know? Maybe that's the whole key?
Perhaps you can get double if they go together and perhaps no one will buy them together, but will snatch each up individually, and it is just as likely you will get more separating them....
Boy what a fickel business we are in...
well, I was no help to you at all.....
dilu
Oh how adorable~ one of the cutest little buns i have seen in a long time! Precious!
dilu

Honey, having watched him develop from inception to completion I can honestly say the transformation is truly astounding.....nooooo I am not being niceynice....just honest.....but you already know.....
You have come so far in the past year with your sculpting techniques, and you should feel quite proud of yourself....
I wish you the best, and wish I could be there to see your opening....my best wishes are with you and I hope everything goes well and sells out!!!
gollygslobberkisses, which as you know are messy, but you do understand
dilu
Oh Chrissie,
From someone who does do gollies and doesn't do anyone elses gollies, I think you should go for it! They will be yours, with your own personality....
Not all gollies look alike, not all sock monkeys look alike
And I, for one, think you should give it a go-I bet they will be adorable.....
hurryhurryhurry!!!!lets see what you have, ladyfriend!
dilu
huge golly hugs now
Congrats! You wont be sorry....
also be prepared for some serious unwrapping, the folks at Intercal wrap glasseyes to be sure an elephant could stand on the package and nothing bad would happen to the eyes....
I always so appreciate how they package things.
dilu
you'll have your package before you expect to....it all depends on UPS and Brown is fast
Oh Sandra! How funny, between the two of us she should be completely confused....poor dear.....
Tami, after sudying your bear I see what you mean. Interesting, but logical.
Jodi, exactly the answer I expected from you, your are such a heart felt lady!
OH Karen!
How funny you are-I am very left handed too, so your explanation makes sense....
Well, very left handed except with piano then it doesn't matter, the keys are all the same, thank heavens.
Now I have to ask:
Re: posing the head I'm a real lefty so I cut/slant forward and to the left. Because I do this while the body is inside-out, when I turn it, the head slant is on the right. Works for all you righties out there.
Do you mean you are doing it to make the majority (Right handers) more comfortable with your critters? Does it make a difference?
I never ever considered this before, and if the answers are yes, then I thank you, because it seems like something that would make a difference. I shall keep this in mind going forward and see what happens.
thanks
dilu
Subject: Friendship
His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself.
Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.
The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.
"I want to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son's life." "No, I can't accept payment for what I did," the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the offer.
At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.
"Is that your son?" the nobleman asked.
"Yes," the farmer replied proudly.
"I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my son will enjoy. If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of." And that he did.
Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, he graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.
Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia. What saved his life this time?
Penicillin.
The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill.
His son's name? Sir Winston Churchill.
A friend just ent this to me and I would love to share it with you. Hugs
Someone once said: What goes around comes around.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
It's National Friendship Week
Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND.
Pass this on, and brighten someone's day.
Nothing will happen if you do not decide to pass it along.
The only thing that will happen, if you DO pass it on, is that someone might smile because of you.
I think Christine has it right....add some biskits, pie, whatever you all get as treats and make those guys feel so right at home that they fall in love with you.....
Make sure the hubs is 100Ks from home at the time.......
And i'm just guessing, that you are a little miffed that the hubs didn't listen to you? Ouch.......
Hang in there.....it'll all eventually right itself....thousands of pounds or Euros later from now......
Ouch!
hope it goes well for you
dilu
For those of you who pose your heads, tilting to one side or the other, why do you choose the side you tilt towards and while it seems like those of you who do it do it to the same side fairly consistently, do you have a reason?
like left or right handed or left or right sightedness being stronger, which side makes it easier for you to do things.....
just curious
dilu
Bravo!
I love it.
I have a nekid little dammit doll on the arm of my chair with needles and pins0perfect and protects the chair.....HmmmmI can see all sorts of things happening here....
very very cute piccy, and I think your warning should be heeded indeed.
dilu
Lets state catagorically right now...on the record, I have never seen your dog, BUT you don't look like him/her!
Hows that?
