Thanks very much for the kind comments! Pat I agree with you , I did try distressing the ribbon a little by creasing it but because  of the sheen you get on silk it didn't show up in the photo, tea would be better, will give it a go,

Little-Red-258.JPGHi thought I'd show my new bear Freddy , he's just a tad over 3" and he's my first attempt at using American upholstery fabric. He has a wobbly head and I've aged his paw pads to give him a vintage feel. I've really enjoyed making him, anyway can't stop I'm already onto my next one!!  bear_original

Hello Brenda,
The quilt from your friend and your keepsake presents are a lovely idea ! I'm sure they'll be treasured! I like the technique you used for Corson's picture, I've never heard of this before.

Hugs Ginie-Lee.

Yes I agree too, do the distressing afterwards. You could also try rubbing areas with an emery board or some sand paper to get a really scuffed and thread bare look. If you rub hard enough you'll even get some holes which you could add darning to or leave as they are, it all depends on how far you want to go....

Great, thanks Chloe, the extended deadline sounds good too!

Hi Chloe, I love the idea of this challenge but unfortunately I was deprived of a teddy bear as a child, which I'm sure is one of the reasons why I'm so attracted to them now ! So would I be allowed to recreate the very first bear that I bought for myself???? It's an old rod jointed Berlin bear and is so very different to any of my own creations that it will be a challenge for sure, hope I'm in. Let me know if this would be ok,
Hugs Ginie
