I just thought I would Share this. I post on our local community forum we put the world to rights, and grumble about the local councillors etc.
I am considered to live in a nicer world populated by teddies and honey where there is no predudice or meanness.
We have had some nasty people tricking and robbing old folk in their own homes, so one of the posters put this up, I dont know where it comes from

If Teddy Bears Ruled The World

If teddy bears ruled the world,
oh my, what a wonderful place.
Everyone would be happy,
there would be a smile on every face.
We would picnic every Sunday
at our favorite old oak tree.
We would sing and dance and prance about,
just playing joyfully.

We would all be nice to each other,
and always lend a hand.
Ready with a bear hug,
we would always understand.
We would all be happy when something nice
happened for one of our friends.
And our friendships would last forever,
nothing would cause them to end.

We would be kind to everyone,
not just those in our own home.
But to everyone throughout our world,
wherever we may roam.
Yes, if teddy bears ruled the world,
what a wonderful life this would be.
Our hearts would always be happy
as we danced by the old oak tree.

Hi Sheeli the animation is top frame it took me about 30 shots of Whirlaw moving him a tiny bit each time it was just as well he is a good stander or it would have been difficult I the loade it inti my animation wizard and after making choices from those it offered out came the dancing bear., It was reduced for the web on photobucket,
theses are great fun to do , but really the software does all the work  bear_original

Estelle

this is my latest mohair bear Whirlaw he is 13.5" tall and stands very well on his own

what alovely bear and even lovelier sentiment

Estelle

there is a trick I learned in refurbishing furniture you need to spray the leather or suede with silicone, if you cant find a spray ( usualy available in knitting shops ) the silicone hair serum works just as well it just means you will need to smear it on with your finger. it disapears  completely when dry the silicone takes all the friction and drag from the leather and it slides through the machine. I know this sounds mad but it realy works I did it all the time even once on oil paintings on leather I had to turn into dining chairs ( they were worth hundreds of pounds each I was terrified but the silicone got me through

Estelle

He does look very like english bears made by Merrythought from the 20s to 40s.
they made bears without feet just sort of round pads during that period and the face is spot on, I cant swear to it but I would deffinately say 1920s ish English( but I am good at being wrong   )

Estelle

that is what happens when you enter teddy world. bear_wacko  bear making has its own time zone  bear_grin

Estelle

I use freewebs and chose not to use html, though you can if you want to.
I just click on page editor an type or load pictures it's just like doing normal things on the computer. I am too old ( and lazy ) to try and learn html, I can edit pages paste sold on bears change pics anything I like without Knowing html( Ilike it)

Estelle

 You are asolutely right I have never heard of anyone with that name, I named the bear after a place and they did the same they actually live there, and yes Sigget now gets to go to the shop  I am one happy bear

Estelle

I am not sure where I heard it but Norton have gone out of business they were not far from the people I get my mohair from so I asked tem if they had taken over there business this is the reply I thought it might be of interest if any one was wondering what had happened to them  bear_original
We took over Nortons work in progress when they went out of business.
We have been dyeing & finishing some of their loomstate stock.

Ged

I have just had a strange experiance! I had to take some bears to the shop they have been selling only my synthetic bears up untill now but as I am getting into mohair I took one along to see how they wood do.
I chose a bear named Sigget as I was getting him together with his passport and other bits I changed my mind put him back and took Parkin instead.
When I put the bears out for inspection Caroline the manager said "you will have to bring another mohair that one cant go in the shop!" I was taken aback I didnt think he was that bad, when Caroline swa my face she said "no dont worry it is just that I must have that bear it is so spooky my first grandson has just been born and they have naed him Parkin"
I was so happy I changed bears at the last minute Caroline was really thrilled, I didnt even Know a granchild was on the way. How wierd is that?  bear_wacko
