not the first but I just found these pics of two of my first they dont even look like bears poor things, more like goffers or sad mice. I dont dress my bears anymore.

Oh he remembered very late last night, too late to do anything so today he is cooking a special meal this evening ,and doing lunch and breakfast  and all the chores. He has arranged a weekend away for next weekend up in the lakes so I am a happy bunny now  :dance:  :dance:

I need a hug  it is my 44th wedding anniversary today and guess who forgot again. I know I should drop big hints every year but I get tired of being the one who does everything. Sorry end of self pitty just neede to have a moan to people who understand.

Admiral have intersting synthetics they are marked not suitable for toys, but if you only make collectors bears they will be OK. The grizzly looks interesting

We may have this product in the UK but I dont recognise it, can you tell me what is fabric extender? I use acrylics for lots of things and am always looking out for new mediums to use them with especially on fabrics

One of my greatest memories from the 50s was being taken to see the King give a speach on Portsmouth Guildhall steps. He took me on the crossbar of his bike and we got stuck in the tram lines and nearly missed it

Julia I have just found this post , I have often thougt of making a fairy beary but didnt know where to start I have bookmarked all the sites you listed (so impressed) thanks for te insperation 

if all else fails you can buy tester pots of emulsion paint from a DIY store and mix a colour you like and paint it. 

Sa you all know I make my bears on a boat on a canal.(I am doing a craft fair near the canal) I was thinking of giving some of my bears life membership to the canal bear club to support the restoration fund. When people buy the bears they will get the bears membership certificate and badge free with him.
Is this bad taste there is no extra charge or obligation to the buyer, many of whom will be canal enthusiasts anyway. Please dont pull your punches I want  I want to know if this is a stupid idea
