Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Jennie, anime  is short for "animation" and an anime bear is a cartoon like bear usually with a larger head and smaller body and limbs. They usually have child like features and often the eyes are wider spaced and lower on the head than a regular bear. I believe this originated with the Japanese and that is why they are often referred to as Japanese Anime Style , but artists have been greatly expanding on the original concept and putting their own interpretation into it.

Oh, Melanie Jayne, he is just TOOO cute!!!! Wonderful job! I can't wait to get working on mine but have a couple of things I MUST finish first - I'm using the reward system - when the work is done then I get to play! Maybe it'll make me work faster! I've done anime bears before but want to use this challenge to work on a new and different pattern.

I have been wondering how long Teddy Talk has been going!  A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY from Alberta, Canada!
Can't believe I have missed a whole year of this wonderful forum - how will I ever catch up!!! Just so delighted that I am a part of this now and hope to get to know everyone a lot better over the next year.
A big thanks to the instigators, advisors and participants  of this site - what a joy for all bear makers!

Happy Easter everyone!
We started the day off today with an Easter Egg hunt - for my husband and I! Our grown up daughter has taken over the chore of hiding Easter eggs for us for the last number of years (too many to count or acknowledge!) She gets such a kick out of watching us behaving like kids when we are hunting for the eggs. One is still not accounted for - hopefully I'll find it when I'm vacuuming sometime before it goes bad - then again chocolate can't really go bad can it - I mean even bad chocolate would have to be better than say Marmite or Vegamite wouldn't it ! (tee hee!)

Count me in! I love making anime bears! The ones posted here are great. Do we post the photos here or in the Challenge Gallery? Is there a deadline to have them done by?
I'm still trying to find my way around this site - there is so much I'd have to be on here for a month of Sundays and probably still wouldn't see it all!

Judi, my heart goes out to you. It is hard to understand why things like this happen and the story of the little bear "Luna" is very comforting - kind of a symbol from beyond just when you needed it.
