Oooh Jane - spooky, Hallowe'en come early??
Dilu, you're so kind. My first (and you're gonna think  !!) question is, what material do you use??
Hi again Dilu,
I'm with Kim, I haven't got the foggiest idea about where to start a goolie!! Sorry!!
Do you joint them?? I picture them not jointed, which is a whole new concept!! Kim's knotting idea sounds great. I wouldn't even know how to start a face, I need to sit down and think about it...... it WILL come to me, I'm a very determined person and if I want to do something I do eventually, not much beats me!!
I hope you don't mind the odd question along the way.....sorry to be a pain!!!
Fantastic, wish I had a sister sometimes!! I'll remember that one, it's a treasure!!!
Awww that's heartbreaking..........
Our pets are part of our family, my heart goes out to them.
I don't think I'll get much from my 'chewing gum white' bra, how do you keep them 'gleaming' white???
Mmmmm Brownie, could eat one now................... and VERY LOYAL!
Kim,
Your bears are GORGEOUS GIRL!!!!! I'm with Penny, don't spoil the surprise, after all someone's gonna get one of mine !!!!
Dilu,
I'm bursting to create a Golly. I've been thinking about it for a while now. I've searched the web, but can't seem to find any patterns..... where do you suggest I start?? I think Gollies and bears go together like peaches and cream and would love to try....
I would be grateful for any suggestions,
many thanks, as always
I always name my bear before he/she is even made, I've never been stuck for a name 'yet' :)
However, I have kept on at my best friend to give me her wonderful baby name book (it's huge and full of names from around the world!!) and she has finally backed down and given in................. She's into very 'different' names so I know it will be a fab resource for when mine dry up!!!!
Way hay!!!
I think it must mean they want to come to live with me Dilu, in fact i'm sure of that
I'm in!!! Give me 'til after my fair (less than 2 weeks) and I'm there if any one wants me!!
This my 'awl' Jenn, wouldn't be without it, I make the hole for my joints with it.
Sorry such a poor pic, I took it in a rush, trying to multi task and cook dinner at the came time :D
Hope this is what everyone else thinks it is too or I'll look like a right fool......
My eyelids, or rather the fabric around the eyelids, came out rock hard, no matter what I tried!!! When I am in a calm mood (not much lately) I will try again, deep breath
Kim, what glue do you use??
Hee! Hee! But look at the memories I brought back to you all!!
Kim, it's 'knickers' ;)
But guys, how much do you take..................????!!!!
Ha! Ha!! I was thinking about asking you all this the other day, I sooo forget to log off!! If you look at 'who's logged in' I'm nearly always there, obsessed, yes, that and forgetful!!!
Glad I'm not the only one
I just wondered, for those of you who do fairs, what you take in the way of a float??
Way to go Dilu!!!!!!!
Welcome home Jane, take care of yourself xxx
Thanks Donna, I will be buying myself some light blue to start off with - I've always used quite dark ones before, but they're not 'right' - many thanks for the tip!!
I immediately feel under pressure when somebody asked for something specific. I know it's not the attitude, but I prefer to create at my own pace and 'do my own thing'!!
I too have tonnes of thread, and usually have the correct shade in there somewhere for my chosen fabric.
If I can't find the correct colour and can't find anything suitable I use invisible thread. I don't like it much, but I do use it!
Awww Judi. i'd love to see her......
I had a pain in my back, between my shoulder blades which I thought perhaps I'd pulled something, only last week. I couldn't move, I couldn't take the kids to school 'cos I couldn't move!!! So I couldn't get to work, I couldn't even sew at home, I was disabled.
I was sooooooo fed up that day I made sure I could move the next day, when my mum came and said it could be gall bladder trouble. I haven't been to the docs either, but I have had a bit of let up, an have TRIED to be SOOOOOOO good as a low fat diet can help this problem.
It's difficult when you have to socialise though................. :(
Food's a bugger, why can't we eat what we want!!
What colours do you tend to go for, or does it depend on the colour of the bear??
OOOh, a bad day for a few of you, makes my 'panic I haven't TAXED MY CAR' seem a distant nightmare.......... (My car is my pride and joy)
Anyway, I hope you all get things sorted, I seem to get more and more of these BAD DAYS, is it the way of the world do you think??
Jenny, although I run a different sort of business, I know how hard it is when you get 'duff' staff, we've had our fair share, and I know what a tough job it is to fire someone, but it has to be done - it's our hard earned money we're throwing down the drain all too often
You all have a FANTASTIC Sunday - that's an ORDER!!!
ooooh Pipa, you poor thing, that sounds painful - if anything stopped me from eating, it's got to be pain!! :(
I hope you get that sorted soon, look after yourself won't you - I'm surprised you have the energy to bear make with no food, your little engine needs fuel you know!!
Take care of yourself x
