Hi Everyone,
Alli is my latest bear looking for a new home. She is made from 1" sparse matted beige mohair with charcoal tips. She wears an ivory dress and hat I made just for her. You can learn all about her on my website here :

Thanks for taking a peek. I hope she makes you smile today ! Time for an indoor photo studio- I nearly froze my fingers off taking her pics outside where it's -16C today LOL
Heidi , I am thrilled to have you in the Teddy Talk family. I think I am your biggest fan. If I was rich I would own all of your bears, they are truly in a league of their own
. Since I've been watching Lily the Black bear live web cam, I want one of your bears more than ever. You capture such realism in your work. It is simply breathtaking each time. What a real gift you have ,and thanks for sharing it here ![]()
Hi Shannon,
I have been shipping bears all over the place for over 5 years without ever having one ripped open. As an extra step I do include a note to customs in the box (right on top of the packaging) stating the materials used , and that steel beads/ metal parts are inside. I've heard of people including a little plastic bag with a couple of sample beads if that helps. I've never been told that any of my packages have ever been opened by customs actually.
***knocking on wood here so I haven't jinxed myself LOL ***
Maria, what a wonderful experience to look forward too. I can't wait to see photos. I've been totally hooked on Lily and her cub. I was so excited to be watching during the birth , and today got to see the squealing cubs head, along with several other thrilled watchers. I feel like a new mom constantly checking on the baby LOL.
Thanks so much for posting the link.
I too send local things like blueberry , or maple products. Or, locally made candy. I have one couple where the hubby looks forward to the candy and wife gets the bear LOL.
Allison , I love your lint rollers , too funny !
Sheryl, this is your most beautiful bear yet !! She is just beautiful . Her face , fur and paws are just fantastic ! I really, really love this little one
Great job
O.K. I am now officially hooked on watching Lily too. Been watching for almost 2 hours while sewing ! She seems very uncomfortable , something must be happening :)
Have any of you seen this comedians cute/funny video of black bear cubs . It is worth watching.
He is the most adorable hedgehog I have ever seen Tatiana. You are just so talented !!!!
Ridley is outstanding Darren ! I too thought he was a genuine vintage bear, WOW !
Happy belated anniversary Peter  We are thrilled to have you as part of the teddy talk family. Your photos & contributions are always upbeat and pleasure to read / look at. Goodness, I just realized I've been here for
4½ years !
Hi,
I don't know if these older posts are of any use, but you may find something to try from the info provided. I know it was for distressing mohair, which isn't synthetic like you are using. But, something may work
Good luck.
How wonderful that it finally arrived Lynn. It is very cute !
So is that the last ornament to be delivered ? Are we just waiting for the photo of Lena's for the tree.

Hi Brenda,
Yes, check the floral dept of any craft store such as Michael's, although it is likely pricey there. I recently found some small bags locally here is N.S. (somewhere  ). I think it was another craft store. I would he happy to pick up a couple for you if I can find more to help you out . I don't know if all excelsior is all the same , but this is very stiff and straw like .
Just let me know , and I'll go shopping
Thank you so much everyone !
It is so nice to see everyone back into creative mode now that the holidays are over
I do love looking at all the bear/critters even though I don't often have time to comment
I am pleased to introduce 8.5" Felicity, my first bear for 2010. She is made from cream and pink mohair. The pink was created from cranberries that I used to hand-dye the ivory mohair. It came out an interesting pale shade.
Felicity is available for adoption on my website http://www.beckoningbears.com/available.htm
Thanks for taking a peek.
He certainly is handsome ! I always enjoy your, great, fun photos Peter ![]()
What a fantastic , once in a lifetime experience , and you got some terrific photos to remember it forever. Thanks for sharing it with us

Dear Jane, please do not feel bad about the party. I'm sure we will all understand that your health is more important. I can totally understand how much time is involved in "hosting" the party for us all. I do appreciate all that you do throughout the year . Take care of those hands, and have a wonderful Christmas.
There are lots of new members, but there is no reason why we can't just relive last years celebration LOL :

I agree Cyndee , the ornaments are just so creative ! Now I wish I actually could have participated in the swap this year. Next year for sure.
Cheryl, thank so much for the very kind comment. It really is my pleasure to do the tree each year. It is fun to drool over all the ornament in one place.
