I think this is a fabulous idea and I have just signed up for our local Christmas fair in November. I thought of taking some bears and telling people they can order them for xmas, taking samples of colour etc, explaining that they are unique and handmade. I also thought of having flyers on the table too. Im not expecting to actually sell any but if I can get one or 2 orders then its worth the £5 for the table.

I am going to make xmas cards too and sell them but I do think I can spread the word to more people.

I know a lady who is doing tutorials for Photoshop and photoshop elements at the mo. You can find them through her blog. She does digital scrapbooking but its the same basic principals for using your photos and designing things around them.

I use no 8 perle cotton on all bears between about 7 and 14 inches. No 5 on bears above that and I have used no 12 for really small bears. Although this is really fine.

I forgot to say I only use straight stitch on mine for the bears and it reverses.

I have a Janome and when I bought mine I went to the local sewing machine shop with some scraps of mohair and they tested out different machines for me. This one is great for thick fabrics. As advice from people who sell them because some machines are only meant for dress fabric and it wouldn't last you long. I traded my old one in and got a 5 year warrenty and its still going strong.

Hi,
I created my own the easy way through a company called Homestead. You download their software and either use a template or design your own. I did this after many many months struggling with doing my own. I can say homestead is so easy even I could do it and Im not vry hot when it comes to computers.

We always go to florida on holiday and have thought about the disney cruise and you have absolutly sold it to me. It looked fabulous and that you had a great time. We love disney too.
