Thanks for your guesses everyone. It is indeed my version of an alpaca. I have been asked to design a realistic alpaca by a couple who have a business raising these cute animals She wants a lot of attention paid to detail and the ultimate goal is to mass market them, if they test well, before finding a manufacturer for them. What she fails to understand is that I can make a very realistic one but a manufacturer is not going to spend the time say doing a polymer clay nose which is why this one has an embroidered nose. This is my first kick at the alpaca so to speak so I have further refinements to make. At least it does look enough like the real thing that you were able to recognize it as such.
