barlow20.jpgbarlow06.jpgPlease meet "Barlow" my own bear pattern. With a lot of redrawing & resewing
I was finally happy with him. He is about 12" standing.  I had a ton of fun scissor sculpting him and shading his face.   I'm very proud of him,  bear_original  I think he turned out cute for my 1st original bear.

Miss Tami I think you're fibbing to us about just starting to make teddy bears ... I'm pretty sure you've made at least 1,000,000 of them in another life maybe?  Are you putting Barlow on Ebay?  He's wonderful; you should be proud of him.

Barlow is a wonderful Bear, Tami ... and for your first pattern - well done.
Also you made him so quickly, from when you said you were going to design your own patterns.
Congratulations.

That's great! I love him!
I only ever used one pattern for my initial bear making class, since I've only designed my own...you might not touch another pattern again! You learn a ton by designing.
One question - what's scissor sculpting? Sounds intruiging!

Tami -
He is wonderful! What a sweet face he has. The shading is very well done. He just stares you in the face, you'd have to pick him up. I am glad that I am not viewing him in person I would have to own him. Anyway the purse strings are really tight right now. ouch!
I could see him with a few simple changes made into a fab mouse. Add A Tail, Bigger Ears, and some Whiskers and viloa! You would have a very sweet mouse.
Good Luck with your ebay auction,
Jared

Just beautiful Tami...I know you must be very proud of him and you should be.  I think Barlow should be Ebay bound, unless of course, you don't want to part with him.  But he is definitely a great looking bear, you did a fabulous job.
I thinkyou are hooked now.

Thanks Terrie,
I have used that name for 8 years now for the dolls so thought I would
keep it for the bears.  bear_original
