This is an old Teddy and what remains of his coat  I think is green Mohair? He has a Music Box in the chest which is 9cms high  by 9cms  wide and 8cms deep. There is some sound from it when pushed. Can any one help me identify the old chap?

Oh, wow, Jenbee--you found his twin! bear_original

Fun mohair colors were popular in the 1920s and 1930s, I hear.

Hehe yes i was surprised how similar the pictures were, i did see another slightly different looking one that was 1930's although it looked like it had been restored. So my guess would be that this one is definitely pre- war but i don't know for sure. It is a nice green mohair with velvet paw pads, i bet he was very handsome in his day bear_original

Thank you for all your comments   bear_grin   I was amazed at how big the music box in the chest is and even more amazed when I got some sounds out of it too  bear_laugh   I must haste away now and look into Jopi teddies, wish me luck, Blue

I have just acquired this cute Merrythought parrot. Does anyone know if he is vintage?    bear_ermm  Thanks, Blue
