Hi all!

Quick ? before I run out today....

I have a collector in France who wants to send me $ for a bear... but is having problems with Paypal.  Is there another easy way for her to send me money?

Thank you!!!!!!!!!

I would say just make a direct money transfer from bank to bank...

I never tried though....

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Western Union maybe?

Western Union is frowned upon by eBay and for that reason puts some people off, based on reputation.  I think it's because it's not "insured" or "guaranteed" or something like that, when used for money transfers.  But I'm telling you more than I know.  Just wanted to point this out in case you come up against a wall with it and haven't heard the talk on it via the eBay circuit.

What about Bidpay....it's kind of similar to paypal I think we use it sometimes to pay for overseas items when they don't accept paypal.

How about MONEY ORDER or CHASERS CHECKS(from Bank) ?
This is an old way but all country(or most of countries) should have this service.
Only thing is that customer may need to pay extra fee to buy Money Order and Cashers Checks.
In our country, 1 Money Order cost 1000yen(approximately $8.00) and Cashers Checks cost for more.
I hope the customer can solve the problem with paypal......

Hi Laura Lynn bear_original . I paid many times by Money orders and Western Union For my over seas purchases. The only problem is the fact that you have to pay fees . The fees for the money order is related about the total amount. Hope this help you bear_original

Get her too send EUROS OR DOLLARS by recorded delivery mail.. But tell her your not liable for any losses.

YOU CAN CHANGE THEM AT YOUR BANK ITS CHEAPER AND SAFER THIS WAY FOR YOU.

THE FEES ARE EXPENSIVE  WITH MONEY GRAMS ETC

ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOUR BANK FIRST

Be careful with this claim.  I had a lady that won an auction for something on Ebay and then claimed she couldn't get Paypal to work, etc., etc., etc., and wanted to send me money orders....ended up being a big SCAM!!

I'd advise her to contact Paypal and have them help her get it straightened out through them.

Whatever you do, make sure the money is good before you ship her anything!!

Just my 2 cents worth

THank you EVERYONE!!  She is buying directly from my website... not eBay... so at least eBay is not an issue.  Her email address is not registered with Paypal - she's never used it before.

Hi Laura Lynn !
This is just for you information,
For my experience, I had to register my credit card
data with paypal to open the account due Japanese residents
are not allow to use bank account with paypal(to send money).
I don't know what paypal require for "France residents."
but do they need credit card too ? or bank account is ok but it
will  take extra time( a day or two?)to setup ?? is that the reason she is having trouble ?? (only my guessing ....)

So far, her choice will be....
1)Money Order
2)Western Union
3)try paypal   bear_ermm
I hope she can find the best way(for her & You) to pay ....

hugs
Marie

What about traveller cheques ? They are very common in Europe.
The buyer has to pay them at the bank and could send them to you.

But I don't believe Paypal problems. I think there isn't money at the account  bear_rolleyes
