mini-026.jpgI decided to try something new so I made a bear that is a combination anime/antique style.  I must admit that when I first began seeing the anime style, I really didn't think that I liked it.  However, those faces just kind of grow on you.  So I made this little guy (or gal).  I made the anime style with the antique look.  It has been plucked, smudged etc., and it has antique shoe button eyes and loose cotter pins.  This picture is not the best, but I just thought I would put it out here for now.  I guess I'm a bit impatient.  I just set it up on the table and took the picture.  When I decide what to do to finish it, I will take better pics.

The fur looks the same colour as the one I am using for the small bears I begun! Is that sort of red wine colour? Brown-red... Sort of short curled pile?

I love that colour!

This mohair is henna color.   It is a sort of brownish red.   It is short and a bit sparse.  I've had it around for quite a while.

What a dear little soul - that cute little face says it all.  I think you have done a super job.  Isn't this anime style so interesting and all the different interpretations.  Does anyone know the history of it?
