I am running more and more classes within my local Borough , and buying them in packs is getting very expensive
as now  I have to submit claims forms for expenses  bear_sad
I can get splitpins by the TON
but I need washers for the projects made in class

You could try some of the hardware and building supply stores...or fastener shops....  ??

You can buy joint hardware in bulk from Edinburgh Imports:

I'm happy to help if you aren't sure which washers to get.

You can often ask your local hardware/building supply store to buy the washers in bulk for you.

Check out www.christiebears.co.uk  They have jointing supplies and they are there in the UK.  If it is the metal washers you need you can do a cost comparision with christiebears and the local hardware store.  But if it is the disc that you are needing you will need to get those from a bear making supplier like Edinburgh, Intercal or Christiebears.
Good Luck,

I use a company called M C Mills in Barnsley. It is a supplier that Robs dad uses for his garage.
I think it cost me about £10 altogether for 200 each of split pins, bolts and locknuts and 400 washers. Much cheaper than buying joints in packs. I tried in B&Q before and had no joy. Smaller hardware shops/garage suppliers would be your best bet. Plus, they know more about what they are selling.  bear_original

The only problem is finding a decent hardboard to make the discs from.

Here in Adelaide we have a warehouse that sells only nails and screws and that kind of stuff. I get my whasher and cotter pins etc from them in bulk. Maybe you can look in your local phone book and see what is there. No idea what they be called. Try looking under buil14.gifding suppliers.
