I just got back from 3 lovely weeks in Thailand. I took one of my bears made for Bid4bears with me and here are some pics. We both had a great time!
I did more jewellery shopping than I should have and the clerk had a fun time drapping him in jewellery for a pic. Wish I could have afforded that amber and diamond necklace for myself!

The beaches were stunning, especially the one with found without tourists present. The temperatures went up to 42C however - certainly nothing we're used to here in Canada.

Ohhh, I just got back from two weeks in Thailand last week. Wasn't it soooo hot!! 
We spent most of our time in Phuket. I got quite sunburnt, but I had a great time. The elephants were beautiful. Were you there for the Songkran festival? That was fun, seeing them run around and around throwing water on everyone and everything. Coming from level 4 water restrictions we thought it was quite hilarious. :crackup: In fact let me find a picture for everyone.
Ohh and did I mention this festival goes all day, in some areas days and days lol.

Yes, we were there for the Songran festival....we were near you actually, on the island of Ko Lanta! The festiaval was still in full swing on Sunday on our way back to Suratthani. We took a bus, which stopped very often to let some people off and more and more people on (we finally had people sitting on our laps!) and there were groups of young people on the side of the highway throwing water and colored dust at the vehicles.
The elephants were indeed gorgeous. I actually went on an elephant and rode through the forest. One of the highlights of my life!
