For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
In my quest for making my son's school costumes, I ran into a very nice lady who is looking to purchase plush to make costumes. She currently uses the local fabric store, but as a lot of us know, those are slowly fading away and she is finding it difficult to locate any and when she does, the selection is slim.
I pointed her towards Intercal and Edinburgh, but she needs 2 yards per costume, so thats not cost effective.
Does anybody know of a supplier with reasonable costs that I can direct her towards?
Thanks in advance for any info

www.bearycheap.com They are in Australia..... carry lots of synthetics... better quality than Jo-Ann's in some cases. Shipping to the US isn't TOOOO bad.
You might suggest she try other fabric stores... not chain store like Jo-Ann's but locally owned shops... perhaps ones that carry upholstery fabric in addition to other fabrics. I just went to a locally owned fabric shop and found the most delicious synthetics... much better quality than Jo-Ann's but very reasonably priced.... $20/yard.
eBay is also a great source for synthetics... sometimes.... I'd suggest looking there too.
Edited to say: I didn't read your post very carefully.... she doesn't have a local shop with selection any more... in that case, yes, Jo-Ann's.
Hancock Fabric is good, I use their on-line store. JoAnn's also has on-line....and there was a company that I found when I was searching for something else....where did I put that?
Found it! Sy Fabric, www.syfabric.com
