If there were bear making workshops in your town and you could choose from any technique or topic imaginable... what would you sign up for?

These are just examples to get you thinking.... you might have a different idea than what's listed... tell me!
Embroidered noses
Sculpted toes
Attaching ears
Using armature
Designing heads
Needlefelting
Or.....???

What technique would you like to learn or relearn or see a different way of doing?

No, I'm not going to start doing online classes or even teach myself right now... just curious what areas of interest there are.

I'd sign up for these classes:

1.)  Open mouths
2.)  How to get your bear to reliably and always stand up and balance
3.)  Distressing your bear convincingly
4.)  Cool dyeing methods, including recommendations on brands and formulas

I would have to go with
1 Embroidered noses -to scared to try my first one, I know I have to
2 Making your bear stand -that is so hard
3 Sculpted toes -can't seem to get that one -wrinkles or what
4 How to market your bears the best possible way -I find this area frustrating

I think that at this stage I would be tempted on just about any class

Ps and of course the best way to get home first to hide mohair purchases and where to hide them

How about a course to design the perfect double neck joint?  I've never been quite satisfied with mine!

1. Making that leap from using other people's patterns to designing your own complete bear!

2. Expression in faces.

3. Inspiration and ideas for new original bears - where to find it, the ideas behind your newest creations, etc.

I'm planning on taking EBearz U classes in needlefelting and airbrushing so, of course, I'm interested in those.

Additionally,

Open mouths

Great eyelids with cording, both upper and lower lids, like Shelli's...but I need more visuals to really get it

Sculpting the face/eyes

Four-piece bodies...I know Paula has explained that before, but when drawing your own, is there a mathematical formula to get the roundness and have the pieces fit together perfectly.

Armature

Creating heads for various looks...I would love to be able to create the sweet little heads that Jenny does, but that's probably a trade secret...also how to create different nose shapes.

Actually, I believe I can always learn more or different methods for things, even if I know the technical know-how-to-do-it.

Oh, yeah...I wish you could teach imagination like Lisa's!

And I'll probably think of more as more people add their wish list.

definitely i would have to say my top 3 would be
1. open mouth
2. double neck joint
3. facial sculpting

I'm the same as some of the above:
1. facial sculpting
2.  eye treatments
3.  open mouths

Its the bear's facial expressions that really grab the heart and soul of the customer.  Although a cheery outfit and adorably sculpted puffy toes don't hurt either!  Better add to my list

4. airbrushing/adding depth to the bear with colour
5. sculpted toes
6. finding magic wand to have the time and ability to do all of the above  bear_tongue

1. needle sculpting faces
2. scissor sculpting faces
3. leap from using other artist patterns to designing my own
4. Open mouths

MAGIC Wand? There's a magic Wand...? how come you didn't tell me about this ?
I've GOT to have one.  Going to look for one.

I love all of the suggestions so far.  I would love to take any "live" class as I've never had the chance and I learn so much easier seeing something done.

Here are a couple of things I'd like to see:
1) Designing realistic bears ( pattern draping would be awesome)
2) Working with clays and epoxy to create claws, teeth, wings etc.  (I'm never totally happy with my results.)
3) Extensive Needle sculpting.

Great topic Daphne.
