I didnt know where to post this, but I wanted to let you all know I have listed a piece of 100 year old mohair on bid 4 bears. Its a nice sized piece at 26"x39" and has a nice sturdy almost canvas like backing. Im offering it with no reserve in hopes a teddy bear artists out there would be excited to find this unique mohair to work with!

Think of the possiblities!!! *smiles*

Bear hugs,

Kim

bear_shocked  Whoa!!!  I bet it even feels different from the mohairs of today. Not to offend the brilliant mohair makers, I hastily add...but I've notice fabrics from my grandparents feel different, heavier.

I bet the mohair reacts in some pretty cool ways when made into a ted...can you imagine a big vintage type ted made from vintage mohair!!!  Too cool!!

Yes, this mohair feels alot thicker then what I am used to. I tend to use more the sparse and semi-sparse mohairs, so this feels amazingly thick to me. If you like the dense mohairs, your will LOVE this!!!

Bear hugs,

Kim
