As you may know we have recently started fostering for Cats Protection.  Our first foster Cleo, an older kitty has gone back to her original fosterer, she's still not in good health and we are waiting to find out more about her problems.  The good news is that she will not be put to sleep even if she cannot be rehomed, the fosterer will keep her in her sun house!

Now that Cleo has gone we have been given 2 8 week old feral kittens, they were part of a litter of 4 but these 2 are the friendliest and just need more attention to get them socialised.  So far so good, no major injuries!!

I'll take the calico to add to my three other ones.  Animal fosterers are angels.  bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub

How adorable and what a great job you do, my admiration

I was bought up with puddies but just before I got married I developed an allergy to cats bear_cry The last time I touched one I was laid up next day couldn't move

I can even tell if a client has a cat as their books make my face itch bear_sad

I do like the little black one bear_wub

Your little calico kitten is beautiful, but Cleo gave me a bit of a turn, she's identical to a kitty I rehomed 13 years ago and has the same name and face!  I hope that everything goes well for her and am pleased that she's got a loving home to go to, you are doing a very worthwhile thing Gemma and it will mean so much to both the cats and their new owners.

Aawwww,  Gemma! You know why I love the little black one!!!  They are lovely!  You lucky thing!  I think our Woody was a bit of a ferral cat, we weren't told a lot about him when we got him from the RSPCA but your little one there reminds me of when our one was a little kitten.  That is brilliant news about Cleo too, so lovely to know she will be very well looked after.  ....   I think I will be visiting the RSPCA again very shortly!

big hugs for you and your kitties and bless you for doing such wonderful work!

Thanks everyone and sorry to hear you're allergic Sue.  bear_sad

Marilyn, I was waiting for a reply from you! bear_tongue I'm so pleased that you might be heading off to the RSPCA soon, also do consider Cats Protection, at this time of year we are full up with cats and kittens and they try to match the right cat/kitten to you.  Our Jupey is a CP cat and he's the best thing that happened to us!

Wow, I wish some of you lived near me, you'd be perfect to adopt one of these two little terrors, I'm realising that the people here are some of the nicest people I've ever 'met', I wish all forums were as friendly as this one!

The kittens by the way are doing good, they both let me pick up them up for a quick cuddle and purr like tractors!  However, they sound like a herd of elephants when we're trying to sleep on a night...

Yup I still have them but hopefully it wont be long until we can get them adopted, you'd never know they were feral kittens!

I just have to thank you for what you are doing.  Cats seem to always get the short end of the stick in this world.    We are continually being bombarded with cats that people just toss away.  Our latest is two females with kittens.  We just discovered that the neighbors moved and abandoned them.  These mother cats are so thin and awful looking.  If I could get my hands on the people.........  This puts us up to 20 cats we are feeding.  Fortunately there is some help with the spays and neuters.

Cleo looks just like my Della.  I took Della in several years ago.  She was just a tiny kitten (about 3 weeks old) and she is still here by my side.

you are doing a wonderful job, those kitties are precious - I would want to keep them all if it was me!!  I hope they find lovely homes soon.  One of my cats was dumped with his mum and litter just outside our house when they were tiny, we rescued them all, re-homed all and of course one had to come with me :)

Hugs, Catherine xx

Awe, that is so wonderful. They are so sweet. My Cat Motley was dumped at my parents place in the country along with an almost starved kitten (I found out later from a neighbour, he had found it the same day I found Motley). We could not keep the cat because we had 2 dogs and 2 cats already so I got him neutered and got the other health issues he had taken care of.. and took him to the shop with me..lol. So we've had an office cat the past few years. He is such a good cat too.. .soooo affectionate and never ever does he try to get outside.. he is just happy to have a warm home with lots of food and cuddles. Rescued animals are usually pretty thankful to get into the good life bear_original bear_original
I found later that the neighbour managed to save the kitten he found and decided to keep her. bear_original

Thanks everyone, it's going to be hard to give them up, I'm especially attached to Den and wish I could talk someone I know into adopting him so that I can get updates.  I do think it would be best if they were adopted together, they have such a lovely relationship...  I often see them biting each others thoats!  bear_tongue
