I finally finished my first bear! She was made from the antique bear pattern in 101 Bears to Make by Nancy Tillberg. It took forever and I made so many mistakes, but I had so much fun! I'm definitely hooked. 
She has no name yet, but she's a present for my mom, so maybe I should let her do the naming...unless anyone can think of something.
Wow, you have done a wonderful job with your first bear - my first one didn't even look like a bear!!! Terrific work and I hope we see lots and lots more now that you are hooked.
