Hi. I really whant to make some Pooh plushies that look like the originals http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:The_ … h_toys.jpg

But I have hard time finding a site that accepts paypal since I'm not allowed to use the credit card directly, also I don't have an E-bay accout.

Another thing is that I have never tried mohair fabrics, this is new for me, what type would be the most similar to the original pooh plushies?   bear_ermm

Hi Sapphire-Light, welcome to Teddy Talk!!!

Give Sassy Bears a try http://www.sassybearsandfabrics.com/ she has a wide range of gorgeous imported synthetics, mini bear fabric, and mini mohairs....and she accepts Pay Pal!!

Make sure to post pictures when you are done, however if you plan to sell them be careful of copyright issues when creating Trademarked plushies.

Yeah, they are goin to be for my own not for sale.

Thanks for the link, there are cool things there.  bear_grin

But For Pooh I'm looking for the fur to have at least 0.50 or  1 inch long since I want to make him near 15 inch high.

And I saw someone post the bearycheap site in another thread, sice I want a long curly fur for Pooh, the Meringue or the straw mohair is the most similar to the original one?  but I'm not sure, since I haven't worked with mohair fabrics.

Ah so you want to reproduce the *original* Pooh bear_original  I think 'plushie' might have put people on the wrong track- thinking of the Disney Pooh rather than the original inspiration...... yes you definitely need mohair to give that look... Intercal has heaps of different furs and I am sure you would find something there that would do the job... try looking on this page http://www.intercaltg.com/special/2.html The s-finish fabrics look similar.

Sapphire email Bearcheap with the photo and ask for their assistance. They will be very happy to help.
The original Winnie is a nice looking bear.
