Your doing fine! IT took me almost a year to design my first cat and, now, almost eight years later I'm still refining the pattern. You picked a difficult animal  bear_whistle  But I think it's worth the work. Also, keep experimenting with every fine fur type you can get you hands on. THe fur used is so important to the fine details of a cat.

P.S. I've tried, Alpaca doesn't work very well for me. Synthetics work the best.
