Hi everyone,
I recently got a couple of rabbits, and I noticed that the fur I pick up when I'm brushing them is really, really soft. I know some people reuse pet hair in needlefelting, but I'm wondering how you're supposed to do that? I'd like to wash it first, but I don't know how you're meant to do that, and I'm guessing you would need to card it after it's washed? Anyone here know?

Posts: 102I've tried washing the hair of my rabbits but it always ended up as a lump of felt. Carding that would be painstaking. 
It worked better when I first needle felted it on and then washed the finished sculpture.
