Hi all,

I've been making jointed mohair bears for a while now and  like the distressed vintage look.  I like to stuff them with woodwool which takes a fair bit of working to get the right finish. I have started using a proper woodwool stuffing tool and that is helping but I have found that the fur sometimes ends up looking slightly more distressed than I would like. My question is do you have any tips for stuffing without over ruffling the hair??

Many thanks in advance!

Gemma, have you tried lightly spraying the bear and combing the fur back into place when you are all done with the stuffing? After I am done with making a bear I have to do some hairdressing work on the bears because the fur usually looks like a matted mess.

Many thanks for the tip. I normally comb the fur but haven't tried spraying it as well. I shall give it a go.
