JOKE to follow, courtesy of my JAG Corps/Naval officer sister, Chanda, who lives in DC.  Kinda atypical of her, this one.  It works better as a SPOKEN joke than a written one; you'll see why.  Nonetheless, I found it funny enough to pass along and share.

Enjoy!

==================================

A man was driving along a country rode and BANG! -- he ran smack into a bunny rabbit.  Shocked and horrified, he pulled over to the side of the road to see what he had done, and found, to his great dismay, a little bunny rabbit, laying lifeless on the hot pavement.

In despair, the man hung his head in his hands, immersed in sorrow.

Suddenly, a woman in a convertible, having seen his sorry condition, pulled over beside him.

"What's wrong?"  she asked.

Pointing to the lifeless form of the rabbit he had struck, he replied, "I've killed this cute little bunny.  What have i done?"

"Oh, that's nothing!"  she replied chirpily, with a smile... and she strode to her car and reached into her purse, pulling from it a canister.

Walking over to the rabbit, she depressed the tip of the spray bottle several times, dousing the rabbit lightly with its contents.

Suddenly, to the mans delight and surprise, the rabbit stirred and awoke!  It stood, hestitated slightly, and begain to hop.  Hop, hop, hop... ten times.  And then, the rabbit turned, looking over his shoulder, and gave a wave to the man and his roadside assistant.

Ten times the rabbit hopped, turned, and waved.

Ten more hops... and another turn and wave.

Hop, turn, wave.

Hop, turn, wave.

Over and over, until it disappeared into the horizon.

Perplexed and befuddled, and convinced the rabbit really HAD been dead, the man asked the woman, "What was it, exactly, that you sprayed on that rabbit?"

The woman handed the man her spray bottle, and he turned it toward him to view its label, which read:

HAIR RESTORER
Adds life and bounce to hair.
Imparts a permanent wave.

PS  For any non-English speakers, hair = something on your head you comb, and hare = rabbit.

Yes, it is one of the joys of the English language where words meaning very different things sound alike....it does make for some wonderful humor tho'!
