Dear Nancy,
I am so sorry to hear of your Daughter and how very hard that it must be for your family.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time and hope that she will soon be feeling
much stronger and will be able to enjoy her darling new baby.

Sue Ann and Daphne, I am the same, I spend too much time on TT and would never get anything done if I was too join any more.
:)
I think so often they sound like a sick calf or lamb.
I have not actually inserted a growler in any of my Bears but if the sound was right
I probably would.
My daughter was given a Bear with a growler in when she was a baby and she wore it out so must have been a happy sound for her.
I enjoy Antiques Roadshow and it is fun to try and guess how much items are.
I especially enjoy it when there are old Steiff Bears which I love.
I also like old movies and comedies ( like a good laugh) and I am not into scary movies.
I enjoy the news and at the moment we are in Election mode and we go to vote tomorrow
for a new Government/ Prime Minister so will be exciting to see who it will be.
Also the Simpsons, CSI and Law and Order.
How very sweet Roxanne!
Shantell, so glad that your surgery went well and hope that you make a speedy recovery.
Well done for such a cute bear - and your first one made from mohair!
Chip is a very cute bear and looks like he has stolen the chocolate chip cookies.
How lucky for your Son if he gets to be the proud owner of such a neat Bear.

Hi Chrissie,
I started making Bears when our daughter was born in 1989.I wanted to give our baby a special Bear
but felt that the mass produced Teddy Bears available on the market lacked the life and personality
of a hand made one. the obvious answer was to make one and she still has it today a Bear dressed in
an old fashioned cream silk dress with a big cream bow in her hair. took me ages to make!
When our son was born in 1991 I made him a Bear in a navy blue and white sailor suit and they both
love them and they will be heirloom bears and they can treasure them.
I have also have a love for sewing and used to make most of my clothes, did embroidery, cross stitch
knitting, hardanger millinery and I made porcelain dolls. I have a cabinet fulled with the dolls I have made.
I have a collection of Bears , the first was a Christmas present from my husband a Polish Bear made from
hessian and I have a steiff and a few others which I love.
Happy Collecting and we look forward to talking to you some more.

The word skite means to boast or brag, Ladies - your English Australian/NZ down under lesson for today.
Do you not have that word over there?
Aren't the differences of the English language great.
I read an article with Johnny Depp in a TV guide about - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
When told about the kiwi word for whining (to moan) - whinging , Johnny's eyes light up as he responds,
"That's a good one. I'll write that down.

Hi Julia,
I like your little Bear logo - ever so cute.
Also neat that you have used your Russian language as we need that cultural diversity.

Goodness gracious me - I am glad that I live here in NZ where there are not any rattlesnakes - how
scary and tarantulas - nice little 8 legged critters - eek! Scary.
Scott - best of luck with your prediciment - I hope that a little overnight sleep in the freezer helped
and your Bears are free of the mites.

Oh Daphne - the new puppy is so adorable and what a clever boy travelling all that way on his own.
A good Irish name would be Danny boy or Bailey after the Irish Baileys tipple!
So glad to hear that your hand is getting better.
We look forward to hearing the name of "your new Puppy"!
