Lynette, I get these types of emails all the time. Makes me crazy to be honest. I've won millions, inherited millions and been promised great paying jobs.

I just ignore them and most emails that come from people I don't know.

psichick78

That's soo awesome! How nice that you get some well deserved reconition for your hard work.

And wow, being interviewed and for more than just Mimzy. You're going to become a famous bearmaker! Too cool.

I didn't realize that's where you've been, must've missed that somewhere.  I'm soo happy for you

psichick78

I'm like everyone else. Try and place the pieces the best you can but it's tough to get perfect. So I also just wet the mohair and comb it where I want it. Once you start doing this there is no going back, it's so easy! Because mohair is real it will stay where you put it after it dries.

Krista, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this. I guess I"m just going to have to be careful. Good tip on the bid retractions, I hadnt' thought of that one before.

As for your 0 feedback bidder, what I do is allow them to bid, but request an email 1st. That way I feel I can get a better 'sense' of what they are like, bec. you're right we all had to start somewhere on ebay.

He's great! I love his face and his feet

psichick78

Oh no not GLUE!!!!!!!!!! LOL Sorry Jenny, I just had to.  bear_grin  bear_tongue  bear_whistle  bear_wacko

I also start in the middle and do one side, then another. I find I do 2 or 3 layers just to fix my mistakes. Maybe that's why I sculpt my noses instead.

Wendy, you're funny!

Okay Question why do you bother to embroider the noses if you're going to wax over them? Doesn't the wax cover the floss anyway? I guess if the wax ever chips off years and years later, it would be nice and finished. But couldn't you wax just over the felt? I must be missing something for sure. I've never waxed a nose and hardly embroider one anymore either.

Good question Jane

Hey guys.

Just an ebay question that has been bothering me.

I have to admit, after our shill bidding discussion I’ve been more careful as to what I’m buying and what I’m comparing myself to in terms what my bears sell for.

Maybe it’s just me being paranoid but how can an item sell on ebay only to be re-listed a week or so later. I can understand sometimes you have a non-paying bidder I suppose, but let’s say this happens often with the same seller.
Would you buy from them? Am I just being too paranoid and assuming the worst in people?
What are the signs I should watch out for?
Maybe re-listing, only a few buyers listed in feedback, private auctions or are these all part of the normal ebay process?

I had never really thought of shill bidding before, but now it seems only appropriate to watch out for these types of sellers right?  Is this something that should be reported to ebay or just ignored?

Thanks for letting me rant and get my questions out. I really want to see if I’m just being paranoid or not.

Thanks Chrissi!
I'm soo glad my kind isn't on the list. Scarey but this new link you've posted really helps sort thru all the info

psichick78

Lucky mom, I love that bear

psichick78

Good idea to report them! I hate that spam in a section. It's not fair. IT's too easy for the buyer to be put off or not see your bear in the middle of it all.

I'm off to report it right now. Irritates the heck out of me.

psichick78

Very cute! The bunny is my favorite!

psichick78

I think you have achieved what you were looking for. I love the new head design!

psichick78

Awww, soo sad. It's never easy and I understand what you feel. He looked like such a pretty cat.
