I really think there is nothing cuter than a baby panda!! Wow, I'm in love.

Thanks for sharing these

psichick78

Hey guys,

thanks for looking for me! I'm here......just not very focused. We're very busy finishing our basement to get ready for the baby. I'm also done work in 2 weeks so I've been busy there prepping so I can leave them.

And we've totally decided on Kail. Still working on a middle name but that's much easier anyway.

I'm due in just over a month.,.....................eeeeeek bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko

psichick78

Soo cute Paula, there is little in this world that is cuter than a kitty.

Karen, interesting point. Something I've NEVER heard of before.

psichick78

wow, sounds great Tammy! I hope I get to see some pics. I love your idea about the faux fur bear and bringing it back to let the kids keep it.

Let us know how it went!

psichick78

welcome back!! Are you all rested now??

I was hoping for some pics though........I've been that far out east and I have always wanted to.

psichick78

Thanks guys,
rubber ducks it is. I feel much more relaxed that it's not only me that have a found a certain appeal in these cool duckies.

Shantell you still crack me up! Men will always be boys!

now I just have to figure out how to wrap them........LOL   bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko

psichick78

Soo cute and snuggly!!! Great work

psichick78

OH MY!!

Those are just precious! The best bride and groom set I've ever seen!

psichick78

Shantell, you have a dirty mind........LOL

Daphne, gee thanks. Now I'll be singing that song for a month now! LOL

Soo I'm pretty excited. Sounds lilke my idea isn't super lame! YAY!!!!

Cool game idea Shelli!!!
we're also going to play the 'diaper' game. I played this before at another shower. It's where you take a piece of chocolate, melt it a bit and squish it into a diaper. Do this with a bunch of different choc. bars and number the diapers. Then the guests have to open the 'poopy' diaper and smell it to guess what choc. bar it is.
it's soo gross and soo much fun.

And good to know the rubber ducks don't only appeal to me. Keep the opinions coming but thanks so far!!!

oh and Cheryl, I think you're cool and let me tell you. everyone of my friends that came to the bear show mentioned you and how cool your creations were.........so..............you're cool! LOL

psichick78

Hey guys,

My mom is planning my baby shower, but I want to do the favors.
It's tough bec. this is a co-ed shower as MOST of my friends are guys so little baby bottles filled with candy would just be wasted on them.

so..........what do you think about these?? There are also some that are more shower related and I'll get some of those for the girls and family.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie … :IT&ih=015

cute? Or is it lame to give these out.
I'm also thinking of buying more expensive ducks, or something else duck related for the prizes.

One of the games I want to play is to fill a jar with these mini ducks........
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie … :IT&ih=016
as in a 'guess how many in the jar' kinda game. Then people can just grab handfulls of them when they leave.

So please be honest. Is this a lame idea?? I think it's cool but that's just me. But man, searching for rubber ducks on ebay, it's REAL tempting to want to buy a bunch for me! LOL

psichick78

ha! Love it! I'm doing it right now................

psichick78

Hey,
I guess I missed this thread before.

As most of you know I'm pregnant and 32 weeks at this point. EEEEKKKK

Time flys and it's crazy. I can only imagine once the child is here how time will go by even faster!!

I swear there is a baby boom right now, I see so many pregnant women everywhere.

Kim, best of luck! It's amazing how you are always soo scared to get pregnant, never for a second thinking it would ever be tough! Best of luck to you. I wish I could pass on my fertility to you.

Peta, have you had your baby yet??

psichick78

whew hew!!
Congrats Laura, can't wait to see it!

psichick78

sweet links, thanks guys!!!!

psichick78

Interesting Marlys....Funny how I've also noticed people named sage more now. I saw a kid (a boy) on America's got talent named sage as well. Just watch, it'll be this year's most popular baby name! LOL

I think we've decided on Kail. We both like it, it's short and hopefully by next year no-one will know we got it off the show Big Brother! LOL

It's tough to let go of Sage though........maybe for the next kid!!!

psichick78

Hello,

ok, so I'm doing something I never thought I would do. I've started sewing simple critters to make baby toys for the baby that is soon to come out of me bear_whistle ! LOL

I'm finding it hard to find material though. A while ago I bought some fuzzy stuff off ebay and love it but no idea what it was so tough to buy more I guess.

But what I REALLY want is felt. Not the kind we make our pawpads out of, and not the cheap stuff you find in craft stores. More like the felt those large puppets are made of, or mascot costumes are made of.

Have you guys ever seen this stuff?? And if you have any idea where I can get it?? I'm assuming it's not going to be at my local fabric store, which kinda sucks anyway.

Thanks for any ideas you may have. Must fill the need to make baby toys.......................... bear_wacko  bear_wacko

psichick78

If I wasn't making bears..............

I'd still have to go to work...... bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry

  Maybe I'd do more tarot readings to make extra cash.
  Like Daph, I'd still promote bear shows
  I'd start baking again, at least at home ( I'm a baker by trade )
  I'd be buying more crappy manufactured stuffed animals
  I would draw more, try painting and doll making
  I'd rescue a ton more animals and help people train their 'trouble' pets

Wow, guess there's a bunch of stuff I'd do. I try to avoid getting into any other hobbies because it's hard enough to find bear making time as it is!!

psichick78

wow, looks like if I'm to be more productive I need to shut my TV off! I have a TV in my studio and that's what is always on. I'm a big food network junkie so mostly that is what's on.

Although I'm starting to think that if I just put on tunes on I might get more work done...............

psichick78

Good tips daph, I'll now be looking at throws.............

Yes, you have to be creative to find cool stuff to make bears out of. I've found some great stuff thanks to this thread.
Oh, and the african stuff seems cheap if you buy it off their site. The prices even include shipping!!!!!

psichick78

Wow, thanks Paula, looks like probear has some really nice, long stuff. I have never seen their site before, thanks for the tip!!!

Off to check out bearbasics now.......going to be an expensive day! LOL

psichick78

Very cool, thanks for the reminder to take some pics of mine. I made our spare bedroom a studio and it's perfect, but it's also being torn down for a baby room............... bear_cry  bear_grin  So I'd better get some pics now to remember it by.

I'll take some pics and post them

psichick78

Soo cute, you totally deserve a cute puppy and what fun to hang out with another bearmaker for so long!!!

8 days old though...........why so young?? Although I have to admit he's the cutest thing ever!

psichick78

uhh, so jealous here! LOL

thanks for sharing your photo's I can almost smell the cheese!

psichick78

Thanks Wendy, make sure to send me a pic when you're done using the stuff!!!

Marion, I also ordered their sample cards. For free! what a bonus that was. The prices are really great and they are fast to respond. Glad to have a bit of a review on the product.
