Very good, Scott!
The only thing I do think is that the nose itself may be a bit small compared to the muzzle size: but this is just my point of view!!! Hummm well, it may be just my imagination, though...
Out of that, he really is very cute! He looks very serious.
Could you please then more pictures of him to see better the great needle felting work you did?
I have never tried it myself and I guess it mustn't be very easy to do! and some pics of his paw pads too! I am curious!
Did you make his pullover yourself too?
Beary hugs,
Sophie.

I need you, dear friends!
As some of you may already now, I have been unemployed for more than 18 months now and this is driving me crazy.
I am a Scientist and have got a PhD in plant pathology (plant diseases).
I am searching some researcher position or Lecturer position (teaching+research in Universities).
In France, there are less and less opportunities. So I have found very few positions to apply for so far. So frustrating!
This year may bring me more chances: i applied for a research position in French Guiana, and I will apply for a Research ingeneer position in France, and for about 15 Lecturer positions in France by the end of the month. 15 may be a lot for you, but honnestly, I may not get many interview and would be happy if i get one! Very often, Universities have already a local candidate for the position... In addition if a candidate apply in an University where he has never been studying he has less chances than other candidates... Well, so you see the picture!
That means i need to keep searching more opportunities and now I need you!
I am ready to extend my job seeking to Australia and Canada+Quebec, but i have no idea how to find job opportunities for these countries. In France, I have a good websites on which there are a lot of announcements for scientific positions for Doctors like me. There are a few other websites too, not as good.
If you have any suggestion where to search, please tell me!
For you to have an idea what to look for:
As I said: researcher positions and Lecturer positions.
Research areas:
-plant pathology/disease;
-relations between plant and microorganisms;
-plant physiology; microbial diversity in soils;
-impact of chemicals/OGM, etc on soils, other plants and microorganisms...
Teaching areas: all related topics.
Please, extend to the study of micro-algae for Malko, who has a PhD in Plant Physiology and is searching a job too (he would prefer a Lecturer position). I add another major keyword for Malko: photosynthesis (for those who have no clue about it: photosynthesis is the use of light by plants, and other "green" organisms like some algae, to produce organic compounds like sugars).
Thanks in advance,
Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Judi and Mark, you are the happiest "Dancers among the cows" ever!
MOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
PS: there are lots of Holsteins in Britanny too! He he he!
cute cute cute cute!
Very well done!
I will learn crochet too, some day!
Make more of these bears!!!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
I will have to make "safety" bears for my new little cousin.
I had a try for a non-jointed bear from a pattern designed by Laurence Véron, a French bear artist.
This is my first unjointed bear ever. I have used light brown cotton plush from BearCountry uk, some dark brown mixed wool for the foot pads, some brown perle cotton for the nose and mouth, and some dark thick cotton thread for the eyes. I filled him with polyester fibers.
I think that I will design some bunny patterns for the ones I will make for my little cousin; so she will have more pieces to chew!!! (arms, legs and long ears :P).
I am very happy with the nose. I made a mixed wool nose template, partly sewed it, filled it a bit with polyester fibers, finished to sew it and then embroided over it with perle cotton.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Well, I have to confess it may take me some time to get used to your new avatar!
but the new one is so beautiful that your are forbiden!!!!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Shamus is soooooo cute and cudly! I love him too!
Debbie, you are a very lucky mom!
Tammy, you are brilliant!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Whaou! That is a beautiful cat! I am jealous!
In France, some people are beginnig to abandon a lot of cat because they fear they can catch the H5N1 virus!!! how stupid people!
If ours flat was not so small, i would take home one of these poor cats!
All that because reporters said on TV that cats can carry the virus! but they did not beleive that cat cann transmit it to humans!!!!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.

One of my boyfriend's colleagues has ordered a bear like Prosper!!!! (you can see him in "Other bears" on my website.
She came here today to have a look at my bears and when I showed her the synthetic fabric I used for Prosper, she just loved it! I showed her more pictures of Prosper too.
At first she was a bit impressed by Prosper's size when she discovered him on my website, but when I asked her what size she wanted she said: the same!
She has got some leather fabrics, so she proposed to give me some to make some paw pads and foot pads for her bear!!!!
I am so excited!
She even proposed to pay in advance, but I said it was not necessary (I prefer to have time to think about how much he will cost!
).
Luckily, she said me I could take all my time to make him, so that is good.
Who's next to buy one of my bears????
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
      Daphne, i am in awe for your fantastic work! Did you realize that your last Mimzy is even better than the drawing? He is just perfect!
