This is my latest design.  A little bunny wabbit for my sister.   I'm making another one which maybe a boy.

Hope you like her.  bear_original

Hi all I tried it twice on scrap sassy and the backing fell apart both times so ended up sewing nose! At least I know now lol.

Hi

Wasn't sure whether to put this in the needlefelting section but before I destroy my first bear I've made in a long time (used Sassy for the first time too) I would really appreciate some advice on how to needlefelt a little nose - not sure if it's possible on sassy and whether it's best just to sew it.

Hi

Thank you very much for the advice - I will have a go tonight - nearly stabbed myself last night whilst watching TV, something made me scream out and nearly got my fingers

Hi

Need some advice please - having a go at needlefelting my first nose on a mohair bear - how do you tame those little straggly bits they're only small but very annoying?

Can see this bear having a HUGE nose lol.

Advice much appreciated.

Will definitely have a look at set screws myself - can you get a kit with all the tools etc and do the set screws come with the nuts in a pack or is it a case of sourcing them from different places?

Thanks so much for your advice Bobbie and Hannah - will be brave enough to have a go at needle felting footpads on the next bear I make - haven't made anything for years but caught the "bug" again after having a go at needle felting.  In awe of all your creations.

Thanks Hannah - I've just bought a couple of books so hopefully I'll have more of an idea of how to do things properly  bear_grin

Would love to have a go at felting footpads for a bear but not sure what base I would need etc etc.

Thank you - got a lot of learn but glad they weren't a total scraggy mess lol  bear_grin

This is a Shiba Inu I did for my son - he was nagging me like crazy so it's not as good as I would have hoped plus he wanted it exactly like our dog which was very difficult lol - he's happy with it though.

Thank you so much - I'm looking forward to getting a kit and having a go.   Just hope I don't injure myself LOL.

It's amazing what people can do.

Hi

I haven't made a bear for many years and thought that I'd like to take it up again and am currently trying to design my own pattern - harder than you think!!!!

I have become sidetracked somewhat when looking online at a supplier who sells needlefelting kits etc
and am hoping to get a kit for my birthday soon.

This is going to be a really stupid question I know !!! BUT if I made a teddy bear and wanted to needlefelt the nose how does it attach to the head?  Do you make your basic head shape without eyes and ears etc and then needlefelt the nose onto it and then fix it by ladderstitching or do you actually needlefelt through to the mohair and stuffing so it attaches firmly to head ... confused??  Which isn't hard LOL
