Just love those two Deborah - especially the dog.  He is really super!!!

Jane P.

PS.  I have used one of the little trinkets you sent me on my latest ebay bear - thanks, it matches her dress perfectly.

Hi Clare,
I use wool felt - I think it is a little more forgiving.

If I am ever in doubt, I always click no or exit or cancel.  Unfortunately, I have lost some good information that way too, but at least I haven't been given any awful virus or anything - touch wood!

All these mice are so cute - my pattern is still sitting on my computer desk right where it landed after printing it out.  I really must get busy.  Soon - yeah soon.

What a neat picture!  Do you know where it is Bonnie?  I know in some places in Europe the smaller villages have contests to see which one is the most "floraly" decorative.

Oohhh, lucky you Diane.  I am envious.  As you know, I collect very few bears now, but I too would have been tempted by that little cutie you have acquired - and what a deal you got!  You will have to send more pics when she arrives.  The only genuine old bear I have, isn't a bear at all, but is an Old English Sheep dog, and I have no idea by whom he is made.  One of these days I must find out.

I have never done tails on bears, but I love the look - I probably haven't done them because most of my bears are dressed.

This is not quite the same subject but in the same "location".  I remember hearing a story about a very well know male artist who came up to a friend of mine at a show.  They were chatting away and he picked up one of her bears, turned it over, and remarked that he always felt that "tush tags" looked like a piece of toilet paper had been left behind - so to speak!  They were good friends, so no insult was intended or taken, and they both had a good chuckle.  After she told me this I promptly changed my "tush tags" to a lot higher up on the back.  Now whenever I see those lower down tags I always think of that story.

I must have missed this whole thread - sorry, I didn't realize you were sick Judi - Belated get well wishes from Nanaimo.

I just received an email from Dave announcing the change to the prepay system instead of the commission, so I imagine he is gradually getting out the notices, but it is taking time.  I think it is a shame that people couldn't be honest about paying the commission when they sold a bear, and unfortunately this is what has happened because of it.  Hopefully he will be able to get a decent following and it will still be a viable option for selling bears.  Also with Nancy's Bid4Bears there are now several other options for those that don't want to go the ebay or show route.

Off to bed now, Good night!

I like them both!  Just sooo sweet.

Yikes - scary!  I'm glad to hear he is OK.  I sure hope the house sells soon.

These type of scammers are making it more and more difficult for legitimate enterprises to continue in business.  It really makes me angry to hear about all these scams - surely they would be much better off putting all that energy and creative talent to a legitimate business.  Probably even make more money!
It's a good thing you caught it.

Fuming in Nanaimo,

Great critters - I just love them.

I just purchased a new digital camera - the Fujifilm E900 - my last one was a Fujifilm as well.  I really like how they work, and the instructions are great.  I really like the editing program that comes with it too.  Before I purchased the E900, I bought a new Olympus, however I found it quite hard to understand, and the instruction manual was on line.  I like a hard copy that I can thumb through and was put off by this, so I returned the Olympus, and purchased the Fujifilm.
Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Great bunny Daphne - you must be absolutely thrilled.

Like all the other TTer's, my thoughts are with you in this time of loss.
Take care of yourself,

Ditto here also on what Sonya said - just use a permanent marker - the very thin kind.  I do it before I set the eyes, that way I don't accidentally get permanent marker where I don't want it !  Good luck.

Deborah-s-trade-4.JPGDeborah-s-trade-3.JPGDeborah-s-trade-2.JPGSomewhere in cyberspace I lost the photo of most of the mohair - but there are 2 pieces of dense royal blue, two fantastic pieces that are a light gold fading to dark brown around the edge, and a piece of dark brown - wow have I ever been spoilt !!!

Thanks Deborah.

Wow, I certainly hit the jackpot when I got Deborah Burnham as my trade partner.  I just received a box in the mail that is 15" x 11" x 7" - and HEAVY!!  Here are some photos of all the stuff in there.  Thank you so very much Deborah - I feel really bad that you won't be getting nearly so much useful stuff from me.

The mohair is vintage/antique and lots of lace and trinkets, and buttons, and ribbons, and stickers - it goes on and on and on!!

Jane Perala

It looks absolutely great, and has an "East Coast" feel to it too!
Shelli, you are one talented lady - way to go.

How true it is.  Although living here on Vancouver Island I must say that we are a tad less worldly than they are on the mainland.

Good chuckles Aleta!

My dear husband brought me some flowers after work today - he say's they are not for mother's day, but just because - what a sweetie!  (It only took me three trys to get the right one!!)

Jane Perala

Wow, I managed to get it to print out - however it took forever, as adobe acrobat decided it wanted to upgrade right then and that took about an hour.
I don't think I will be as fast as Aleta, but I will try and work on it next week.
Thanks for sharing Teresa - this should be fun.

That sounds like a great idea - and it looks like it is a fairly simple pattern, so if you do a challenge - count me in!  Now I have to figure out how to get the pattern on my computer - oh the challenges for the computer illiterate!
