Thomas,
I can't tell you how many times I have been asked if my bears are "huggable."  You are certainly not the lone cuddler.  Through the years, my bears have been getting more softly stuffed as I have found that's what collectors want.  Yes, it's a collectible, but they want a cuddly collectible.

Hugs!

Cheryl,
I really like BearPile.  I don't usually do simultaneous listings.  I list on Bear Pile and if the bear doesn't sell in a week or so, will move it to eBay or visa versa.  It's nice to sell directly through Bear Pile and avoid ebay fees.  There have been some improvements to it recently that I think have made it better.  It is affordable and good exposure.

Beautiful colored panda.  I really like the chording you added around the neck.  It's very unique and perfect for this little bear.

What is up with my family???  I made 2 more sets of bat wings today.  My daughter walks into my studio, picks them up and asks, "Did you make these?"  My answer was, "Who do you think made them? You think I bought them?"    First my husband and the pumpkin, now my daughter and bat wings.  They must really think I sit around eating bon bons all day!  Or perhaps little elves sneak in at night and make everything for me.  Wouldn't that be nice!  It's back to work to make 2 more bats to go with the new wings.

Thanks everyone.  Sandra, the editor of Australian Bear Creations is a member here.  I'll email her and ask her to post information on how to get a copy of the issue with the wing tutorial.  I don't know that volume or issue number.

Battina.jpg

Here's a new creation that I've been working on.  I was completely inspired by Linda Coker's bat she posted recently.  I wanted to try out my fairy wing technique on some bat wings and it worked great.  Unfortunately, this little bat drove me batty trying to get her picture!  I think I'll try for better pictures another day but here is Battina!  The wings are made from sheer fabric and wire and if you'd like to learn this technique, I did a photo tutorial that was published in the current issue of Australian Bear Creations Magazine.

Jane,
I always love  your photos of the shows.  It's almost as good as being there in person.  Thanks so much for doing this so we can all see the beautiful bears and critters.  I have to say, my favorite of this show, is Captain Kirk & Spock!

Live long and prosper!

Thanks ladies!  I let Tyler know you said the eyes were great.  He was really happy that I used what he picked out.

Jackie--LanternTT.jpg

Here's my latest creation, Jackie & Lantern.  I have to tell you that I had the pumpkin made when my husband got home from work, but not the face on.  He thought I bought the pumpkin.   bear_angry   Dude, I do make teddy bears and am completely capable of making a stinkin' pumpkin!  The kids said, "Dad, your an idiot!"  Honestly, what does he think I do all day???  Anyhow, my son promptly came into the workshop and picked out Lantern's eyes.  I said, "I don't know, they're awfully big."  Once they were in, he said, "Told you they would look cute!"  He was right.  At least one man in my family has a brain!  It must be because he's got 1/2 of my genes.  bear_tongue Anyhow, Jackie & Lantern will be available at the Schaumburg, IL show on October 11th.  I hope to see many of you there!

Janice,
I think this is my official all time favorite Booh Bear.  That is until you make another to top this one.  The shoes are the icing on the cake!

The main course may be duck soup but I'm sticking around for dessert.  WOW!  I bet it all tastes as good as it looks.

Thanks again for all of the kind comments.  Birgitta, I am actually working on some on-line tutorials that will be available through my website.  It won't be the same as a hands on workshop, but I plan on making photo tutorials that show step by step pictures.  They should be available this fall if all goes well.  I just have to figure out how to do everything on my website.

Thanks ladies.  I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.  It's going to take a lot to get ready to teach.  I have to get written information ready for the students.

I have a lost bear too!  bear_cry  It's supposed to be on it's way to Germany.  I told her to check with customs there.  I do hope our teddies arrive to their destinations soon!

My lab has that squeak when he's panting hard.   It's almost like a whine while he's panting.  It's nothing.  He's done it his whole life, he's 7 and healthy as a horse as long as he's not injured himself.   I wouldn't bother with x-rays unless Dakota acts sickly.  She is just a beautiful dog.  I love that picture of her sleeping.  She looks like she's having a great dream.

Janice,
I had forgotten that you got a new kitty until I saw this picture.  I don't know which is cuter, the bear or kitty.

Tami,
Another Firefox user here.  You won't get as many pop-ups with Firefox.  You will be much happier.

Clare,
The backing is the same color as the mohair, blue.
