I only bring small sewing needle, thread and my cut pieces while travelling.
I use a very easy way to cut those thread. It is with my teeth
( of course after I knot it, I keep a long thread then I cut it...)
Later when I am back to where ever place that I can use my scissor then I will trim them.
I do not want any troubles during travelling as it will rude my trip so... god give us a good tool.
I got a wonderful bear from Steiff before Christmas.
It is Karl Lagerfeld bear. It cost me a lot to have it .
But the bear and the accessories are really great.
My new year dream bear is to try to make a "Angel" bear. ( A bear that look like myself )
But I think first I will have to make myself some signature style then I will be able to make a bear that have the look like me
He is adorable, love his red nose
I am from Taiwan but never seen this cute needle felt kits.
Lynette, do you mind to let me know where to get this cute little bear kits?
Thank you Ali, Joanne, Claudia, Melisa, Denise and Andrea for your nice comments.
Most of my bear creation goes with my feeling.
When I am happy my bear look cheerful and bright. When I am sad, my bear will look unhappy too.
That's why till now I cannot start to sell my bears because all of them are part of my life and have story inside them.
Do you guys have the same problem like me?
Hope your mom is getting better now, I will also pray for her
She is so cute
She face, her flower on her head, her colors....
She is adorable.....
Love the way you present Miss Fosty Flower....
Help is about 4" (10cm) tall.
Help is create during the time when Thailand Bangkok airport was shut down because of the political problems.
I was suck during that time and not able to fly in or out.
That's why Help comes with such a helpless face because I have put all my unhappiness in him.
A bear with lots of stories in him.
She is beautiful.....
A traditional japanese women look on her face.....(Soft and beautiful....)
Your coat is beautiful. I have some experience in velvet and hope those will help.
1st While cutting the velvet, make sure you will have your cut piece in all same direction (one way cutting).
( Because if you cut in 2 ways, it will have different shade happen in your coat.)
2nd while sewing the velvet with and un-stretch lining, I suggest -
1. Sew from inside out. leave a hole at the bottom then turn it front so it is more easy for you to control the sewing.
2. Pin the cut piece before your start sewing. So while you hand sewn or machines sewn you will not pull the velvet fabric and make them un-even.
Pin will not destroy the fabric so do not worry about it.
3. Soft fusing interlining add in placket and collar. With the fusing interlining the velvet fabric will not be stretch.
Hope this will help.
Usually I do not like to make clothes for my bear.
( Although I am in garment business and know a lot about clothes but just don't know why I do not like to do it for my bears.)
I designed this 3 pieces set to memory my high school time.
This is quite simillar look as my high school uniform but I change a bit but keep the colors.
I am trying to make a suit jacket and a sweater for her....
So she can go anywhere no matter how cold it is.....
She is so cute...
I did not get get chance to visit the Oh BearZ Show
Thanks for sharing Annie here with us.
I love her color too.
What a great color combination.
It is always nice to see Paula's new bear.... lots of lots color.
I think the idea is great.
I do not really mind to pay for people to critiquing my bears as it is like you taking an exam to know where is your level, right?
Speically in Taiwan, we do not have many shows here.
All you heard from others will be very cute, very nice, very adorable...... All those nice comments
(PS: Even the teacher teach me how to make bears tell me it is nice when I find myself the bear was poorly made..... )
I really want to know how is my bear is real.
Specially the workmanship, stuffing if is enough, eyes/ears position if is good or balance.
Only when we get real comments then we can improve, isn't it?
I wish this idea can come true......
Love your cute little fairy.

If you allow that will be great, if not, please at least allow me to post goldie's photo so I can ask people to link to Teddy talk for the english instruction.
