Well, I'll wade in,
, I think Helmbold, is every bit as good and except for one style in 3" it is the only mohair I use. And this Hembold loyalty started long before I joined the other HA's.
I have a 3" Schulte that does shed. So who's to say.
Why don't you do yourself and your bank account a favor and just give the Helmbold a try-try one of the specials or even an end-of-bolt-piece and see what you think. You wont know otherwise, no matter how many of us reply to your posting. Give it a try and then let us know.
And you couldn't have a nicer company to deal with either, Johnna is a dear and will always go the extra mile on our orders.

Oh dear, bless her heart....loosing our dad can leave such an awful hole in one's heart, it certainly did in mine. Dear one, whoever you are, I am praying you find peace and feel a wee bit better day by day. I am so terribly sorry you have lost your dad.

Anybody have more details. Our post mistress said the middle of May and that because of Homeland Security there would be a whole passel of new regs.....
anybody have any ideas what the regs are?
She didn't-she said it would all be in the computer and she would have to go by the computer....mainly refering to sending out of country....
just getting curious here.....

Great question Gemma, and a responsible one too. I appreciate your concern.
And great answers from everyone, love the magnet idea Bobbie, brilliant!

Congratulations Tammy, I am quite pleased for you. Good job!

PS I especially like that you challenged yourself with fabric you weren't quite sure of, that's quite artistic.
Kudos Darling Jodi, wonderful article-i am so glad you shared it with the rest of the world.

Shelli Rick found at the automotive store, Kragen's ,Napa, punches in all different sizes from tiny to larger than most of us would ever need. I use them to punch out white ultra suede for the sclera...and you use cording around your eyes so it would hide the edge.
just a thought. I tried paints, but golly fabric sucks it up, even when I put special stuff on it to protect from that.

 uh.........don't know what to say............thanks ladies,
Actually my favorite was the plump little kids at the ballet barre, and hubies was the Thai dancers....
I didn't mention it, because I didn't know it was an on line challenge for anyone-I thought it was just for an Ohio group of dance enthusiasts....
Thanks for your surprisng support-surprising beause I wasn't going to mention it
Sheesh Kassie....I should have read your emails last night more carefully before going to bed-I was more interested in your "little" guy...now he is a hoot and soooo expressive
But I appreciate your special hugs hon.....

awww honey, I am so sorry. So very very sorry. Sometimes we love others more than they like us....and when reality hits, well, sometimes it just take a huge chunk out of our hearts. Hugs, all that there are in the world that I can send....
May blessings from above shower down on your heads like glitter and plant seeds of joy in your broken hearts.
gollyslobberkisses, to be mopped up with the softest linen hanky

Darling Jane
your poor family has been through so much this past year, yes prayers go out for all of you. I am so very sorry.

You wont be sorry for any order placed to Steph's place....and wait till you feel the fabrics....and the sherbert colors are sooooo yummy!!!
enjoy
I know people who still have happy dances routinely, even months and months out from the first order....
Also check out her special supplies for the mini bears-wonderful!

I had a package to Pensylvania take 3 months....and one to NZ seemed to take eons-they found it in a corner after Christmas....mailed in October.....
Usually everything makes it there eventually. But I think insurrance should be part and parcel, whenever possible, of the shipping, and shipping is buyers responsibility,,,,we know, when we buy, where it is coming from and what the risks are...
Whenever offered I take it....

Now wait just a second here!!!!!
You simply must educate your honey....Hoarding away against a rainy day is vital, not only to our peace of mind but the National economy!
Stash away!!!
the nation is depending on us...and isn;t Steph's suff wonderfull for the tiny ones?
Love it

are you ordering yet?
You wont know if you don't try.
Maybe you have something the world is waiting for and maybe you don't. But give yourself a time frame. Say 1 year...if you aren't selling fairly regular by the end of a year you need to do some homework....and figure out why you aren't. Of course, you will be questioning your self all along....
But if your guys go like hot cakes then you can figure that you are on the right track.
Why do you want to sell?
You need to know the answer to this-its important.
It will color how you market yourself, and how you frame your business plan.
Are you determined to be the next best crittercreator? Or are you selling to support yourself?
Or are you selling to support your habit?
All three are valid, but if you don't know the answer you may end up spinning your wheels.
Do you have a business plan?
It doesn't have to be complicated, and you don't have to know all the answers, but having a simple business plan can assist you in deciding many questions you will have.....
like: what do I sell and where
what do I charge, will it cover the cost of the listing? Will it allow me to replace all the supplies I used? will it afford me any kind of incomE?
Keep a list of your supplies-what do you use? What do you need to replace? what are the costs?
If you don't make back your costs you will go bellyup in no time unless you have another source of income that is willing to support your foray into the mad world of e-bay and Bid4Bears.
I say go for it. And here's my real reason:
when you are on your deathbed you wont be wishing you had a bigger house or more money, you will be wishing you had more fun and had taken the opportunities that came along....Being a member of TT is an amazing opportunity. We have nearly `1000 members, and who knows how many people that simply cruise through....It can only help you if you decide to go forward.

Fabri-tac (AKA Magna-tac- the Beacon people told me that they changed the name because people were put off by the old name-New name, same old wonderful glue) glue is wonderful and can be diluted with acetone-you can even paint it on with a brush if you dilute enough-perhaps not on fur or mohair, buy who among us doesn't do other things requireing tools and glues?
The best advice?
, and don't be afraid your tools-you use them , don't let them t control of you.....that includes sewing machines.
and always remember:
Fabric can be manipulated much easier than husbands
