You can check out my website and my 'about me' page. I have gotten compliments on it, one suggestion that I did not follow up on was to make it, oh, gee I don't remember how I have mine written, from another person talking about me......I think.......does that make sense? I guess I better go back and read mine again so I know what I'm talking about...... :D
Yup, that's it, just re-read my bio and the suggestion was to make it read not from Me, but from someone else writing about me. Hope that makes sense. good luck whatever you do.
Love the squirrel
I was given a book last week called Teddy's World I finally got a chance to look through it last night. It is a wonderful book with lots of pictures of all kinds of bears. Has anyone else seen the book?
I started doing it this way on all of my bears and have been very happy with it. It seems to make the head go together easier and quicker.........
I am willing to do another swap bear.....St. Patty's day is OK with me!
Love all the pictures. I just wish it would be a more "normal" winter for us up here in the Northern US and Southern Canada area. It has been way too warm, and no where near the snow we should have.......Yucky rain instead! The weather forecast is saying a more typical January weather forecast.....I don't believe it! This is the time for Winterfest activities and there isn't enough snow for outdoor activities, our local Polar Bear dip may be cancelled because the river is not frozen, so there is no ice to cut out to make the hole to jump in!
But! I love the horses in the snow, and the puppy in the snow......
I ask that same question of the person I wake up with every morning......(I think it is my husband.......)
 Heaven help us all!
Remembered another collection I have........sugar packets........from restaurants. Something I started as a kid, and still get them (if we ever go someplace new to eat) Guess my Dad thought I needed some sweetening when he suggested I collect them.
 Ellen
I got on the scale thins morning.......no weight loss........I guess that is why I never continue with a routine. I have been working on the Total Gym, walking much faster with the dog, drinking lots of water, trying to eat healthier (including my oatmeal, yuck, every morning) and I loose no weight. I thought I had, because my clothes feel like they aren't as tight............
2 successes going still, no smokes and I still have nails......had to cut them the other day.........
Ellen
very interesting.........never seen anything like it before.......

My passion is collecting Bone China Miniture Animals. I got my first ones, a family of Alligators, on my first visit to Florida at age 10 or so. Since then, I have collected most everyone that was made. I have dragons, birds, bears, lions...........I received a curio cabinet to put them in, then 2 years ago, my husband gave me 2 more glass shelves.......still not enough room. They are not found anymore (at least around me) so every once in a while I scour ebay for them.........I also have my collection of stuffed animals, of all kinds, but they really have to speak to me in the store (or be given to me) I have my very own "Tree of Stuffed Critters" in our bedroom.... makes hubby nervous having so many eyes watching.........
Oh.....real live things.......I love cactus! I have a collection of them. They are in the house through the winter, when it turns warm (for all of 2 months) they go outside. This year, 1 is too big to be moved, so it will be inside all the time! I have Barrel Cactus, Pear Cactus and one I don't know what it is............
 Ellen
The pile is about 1/2 inch. I don't like to trim real fur, so he kind of plays peek a boo with you. The paw pads and ear insides are made from the coat lining. The color is about the same as the material, like brown. He's been following me all day..... helping to make some penguins!
I guess it is time for me to report in. Don't know what I have lost in weight. My clothes don't feel quite as snug as they did a few weeks ago, so I guess I am loosing. Don't want to get on the scale yet. Yesterday I did something I have NEVER EVER done before........I actually had to CUT my fingernails! I still "rub" the thumb nails on my teeth, but haven't bitten them for over a month now..... friends are amazed, and my husband was shocked that I could peel off a piece of tape the other day without using a knife! Not used to them yet, but I like the way they look.
Also would like to report that I have not had a smoke since Dec. 30th. although I did wish for one the other day as I drove an hour to a CPR class.......but did not give in!
So, how long do I have to keep my resolutions????????

Here is a Mink Bear (from a coat) that I made yesterday. I have a stole that a woman wants 4 bears from, so I had to make my pattern smaller. I think I really like this size.........I still think my bears of this style look like the Caddyshack Gopher!
This little guy measures 10 inches standing and 6 inches sitting. He is sooooo soft and cuddly........

As with most holidays ( anniversary included) We don't do much. If we are both available we will go out to dinner.......unless he gets called out to fix the power or I have teddy bears to sell........... So....which is better, selling bears, or going to dinner?
 Ellen
Ahhh...the memories............
Mom didn't work, she stayed home with the kids.
Every one in the family sat down to a home cooked meal at the dining room table together.
No seat belts in cars
No bicycle helmets
 Ellen
I have found that the person who buys a bear, does so because it speaks to them. They wouldn't DARE to criticize it like we (makers) do. I had a bear that I thought was the absolute ugliest, worst looking bear that I ever saw. A 10 year old girl saw it and begged, pleaded, wheeled and dealed with Mom to get the money to buy it! I was so happy that the girl got a bear she thought was the best, and I sold that Ugly awful looking critter! ( she wanted it so much, I even gave a slight discount to get rid of it!
)
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we are our own worst critics......and we get too picky about what we do..........
 Ellen
I would choose each person, a few days at a time, to spend with. OR, get us all together, but then we would probably need a year to meet and talk with each other. How about that, a year-long get-together of TTs?
So hard to choose, so I won't, but if I get a chance, I will..........

The following was sent to me by my daughter, thought you might appreciate it.
BITCHOLOGY
When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a bitch.
When I stand up for those I love, they call me a bitch.
When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts or do things my own way, they call me a bitch.
Being a bitch means I won't compromise what's in my heart. It means I live my life MY way. It means I won't allow anyone to step on me.
When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak against it, I am defined as a bitch.
The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being everyone's maid, or when I act a little selfish. It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of what they think I "should" be. I am outspoken, opinionated and determined. I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that!
So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me. You won't succeed.
And if that makes me a bitch, so be it. I embrace the title and am proud to bear it.

"If you can't do something right, get a woman to do it."
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming...Damn, What a ride!!
Life is an attitude: Attitudes are more important than circumstances!!!
Sounds like a good idea to me! I have my own Moon Bear, for anyone who purchases one of these bears, I send a donation to their rescue. Nothing else needs to be done on their part, but the receipt makes note of the donation amount.
Ellen
I would love to host this bear for a few days.
I am also in the planning stages of a travelling bear...Mine is my own design of a Moon Bear, but he is rather large and his postage would be high, so don't know if I can do it.
 Ellen
I went out shopping with my husband yesterday and saw 2 quotes that I would like to share with you.......
#1. Chocolate makes your clothes shrink
#2. We don't skinny dip, we chunky dunk.
