This bear is really beautiful! I expecially like the way you did his face, with the fur slightly going into his eyes like unkept hair. To me he loos like a young boy waiting to be hugged!
He has very sweet and pensive eyes, and I love the bend of his arms! Very endearing!
Thank you Susana!
Jo,
he is so sweet and endearing!
Hello everybody,
thank you so much for the kind comments, I really appreciate them so much, and they make me proud .
Hello everybody,
I have just finished my newly designed raccoon.
I've read somewhere that raccoons eat virtually anything, and also scavenge the garbage bins in search of food...but I bet they will always choose homemade cookies...given the choice!
I hope you like him!
Your husband did a very good job! I like you website! Brava!
You did a wonderful job!
She is really a lovely bear!
I also hate hand cream that is too greasy. I have found a couple of brands of hand cream that gets well absorbed and even if they are not as 'strong' as other brands, I just use them very often. I also can't work using a thimble, but I hate having dry hands...even when I clean around the house I'm always putting cream on my hands in between chores. It helps. I can't say I have soft hands, but they are not as damaged as they would be otherwise!
Congratulations!
This wolf pup is really sooo cute!
I just came back from my Easter holidays. What a nice surprise to see yet another of your beautiful creations! Joanne, you are so good!
Your new little bear is wonderful!
What a sweet and lovable bear!
I always do the head first. I want to have a sense of the bear face before I commit to cut and make the rest of the body because I need to see his-her face and then I can think of the exact shape of body and limbs. Sometimes I find myself with two or three different shapes of body+limbs turning around in my head and I can decide what to do only when I have a better idea of the head 'in the fur' and not only in my mind.
With the head, after it's sewn I play around with the ears, positioning eyes and my selfmade positioning noses (I have made different shapes and sizes of felt shapes) to have the sense of what I want to do. Then I shave what I need to shave of the nose area and needlefelt. Then go the eyes, nose, ears, shading.
Then I make the body, the limbs (arms or legs it doesn't matter what comes first). Then I attach the head. Then I stuff and finish the legs, the arms and try their position on a partially stuffed body. Then I empty the body, attach legs, then arms, then stuff and sew the body.
Well, this at least is what I do at the moment...
Wow, you are really sooooo good. It's really beautiful!
Leanne, Julie, Lisa, Thelma, Peter...I really appreciate your compliments. Thanks!
Ladies, thank you so much for your compliments!
She's very cute!
Right before the Easter Holidays break...here is my polar bear Polaris.
I hope you like him...and I wish you happy Easter!
Wow, he is really amazing!
Leanne, I actually discovered just now that there really is also a little green riding hood. When I made the outfit I thought that it was a bit like little RED riding hood, only in green. Well, every day we learn something!
Thank you for your compliments!
Peter is a handsome bear, he looks aged but you haven't overdone it, he really looks well loved and huggable.
Thank you Pink!!!
What a cute little face! He makes me smile!
