Such beautiful detail,she is exquisite
.
Is that sweeties she's searching for in her pockets? .
She's absolutely adorable,such a sweet expression
.
I've read several different methods for open mouths but I believe there are no "rules" in crafting and if it works for you then that's the way to go Kelly .
You certainly got a good result and I only hope that mine turns out half as good .
Such a sweet innocent expression .She's a real wee honey.
Great little bear. He's my hubby's namesake and just like him is very handsome and hairy .
He's fab .
I'm currently making my first open mouth bear and finding it quite challenging .You've done a lovely job, looks like he's licked a saucer of milk ,very real.
Hi Sheree
Jonesy is 21 inches or 53 centimeters. He is made from two colours of mohair, silver grey and pale gold and I think he has a very wise expression. He looks after the rest of the smaller bears in my hug .
Here are three from my small collection
Jonesy,Muppet and Shay. The big guy,Jonesy, is my favourite and is 21inches/53cms tall.
I have just sent them an email telling them there is a problem. It might be a good idea if you also let them know so that they will take the problem seriously. There are some good articles and tutorials there if you can get to them.
Donna
Thanks for your help.I've had another response from Edinburgh Imports to my email and they are working on the link to fix it.They have indeed said that the recent site update may have been the cause.
Thanks Nan. That' a relief at least I know it's not something I'm doing wrong.
I have emailed the site but they say it works OK for them.
I picked up a great tip from the library here to help beginners that directed to articles on the Edinburgh Imports site. Here is the link to the first article "getting started"
http://www.edinburghimports.com/article … ngfur.html
My problem is I can't get any of the articles to load and display. The system just reverts back to the monthly special page each time.
Is anyone having this same problem or am I doing something wrong - a bit of a techno phobe I'm afraid ?
I would really find these information pages very useful and would appreciate any help to access them.
Aaaaaaaaaw, she's just gorgeous.Wonderful detail in such a little bear.I love the fabric.
Rose or no rose he will steal all the girls' hearts away
.
She is sheer perfection ,your customer will be absolutely thrilled
.
Really cute little bears with bags of character .
Cute little character and he looks really snug in his scarf.I made my first mini recently so I know how difficult those tiny parts are to sew especially the footpads .
Great job .
Love your beautiful bears Paula.
He looks nice and cosy in his woolly jumper, makes him even more cuddle some .
Gorgeous little bear, looks like a mischievous child that's been playing with the paint pots .
Expertly aged, looks like a much loved bear .Love the name
.
Such expressive eyes,sometimes happy,sometimes sad,always loveable.Brilliant work .
Aaawww thanks Vicki.I'm sure you're right I will give minis another try sometime but in the meantime I'm back in my comfort zone with a 10ins/25cms panda pattern.
Many thanks for these encouraging comments. He was a much loved Christmas gift, makes the hours of crafting even more worthwhile.
Thanks very much for the tip Kay .
Hopefully he'll be worth showing off when he's finished.
Thanks very much Conni for those lovely compliments .
Very beary wishes.
I made my first mini teddy as a Christmas gift for my sister. He is from a pattern by the great Australian artist Monica Spicer whose generous free online tutorials have been very helpful to an inexperienced crafter like me.
He stands at just under 4 inches/9.5 cms.
I found the tiny footpads very challenging and mistakenly thought because the seam allowance was so small I could sew them by eye but next time I think I'll have to mark the sewing line to get a more perfect shape.I don't think I'll be rushing to make another mini because I found it very fiddley, I prefer 8/10 ins size. This experience has made me appreciate the special skills displayed in those award winning minis we see displayed here and dressing those tiny creatures is just mind blowing .
