She's wonderful, Robin, and I tried to leave a post on your blog but can't as I don't belong to any of the required profiles to post the comment.
I am so pleased to hear all the positive comments on this little guy!
The last in my bunny rabbit series of 4 which included Anybunny, Somebunny, and Everybunny. And here is the surprise - Nobunny who isnt a bunny at all but a bear who would like to be a bunny rabbit!
Nobunny is a miniature bear, 3 tall. He is made from a very soft light brown pile fabric, fully jointed, polyfil stuffed, black bead eyes with white embroidered accents, face shading, ultrasuede foot pads, stitched nose, mouth, eyebrows, and claws, and a tiny tail. He wears a removable ribbon tied hood with wired bunny ears and a little fluffy bunny tail that slides on over the bear tail to transform into a pretend bunny!
I've heard that one before, Brenda, but isn't it great! Still makes me laugh!
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments. I was pleased with how this one turned out myself and the collector loved it!
Darling as usual, Marion! I love your little crocheted bears - just might have to have one some day!
What an adorable little mouse! Well done!
They are all so sweet - and what wonderful colours!
Incredible, Krista! You have done a fabulous job on this cute pup!
He is adorable as usual, Brenda! Love his little box too.
Looking very much like a vintage toy rabbit, Everybunny is a miniature bunny rabbit, 2 tall. He is made from a rust colored mini bear fabric, fully jointed, polyfil stuffed, black bead eyes with white embroidered accents, face shading, ultrasuede foot pads, stitched nose, mouth, eyebrows, and claws, a little fluffy bunny tail and wired ears. He has a green silk ribbon tied around his neck.
Just in time for Easter!
Somebunny is the second in my latest series of 4 bunny rabbits. He is 3 ½” tall, made from a vintage light gold rayon? pile fabric, fully jointed, polyfil stuffed, black bead eyes with white embroidered accents, face and ear shading, ultrasuede foot pads, stitched nose, mouth, eyebrows, and claws, a little fluffy bunny tail and wired ears.
This is little Mandy and her Panda bear - 4 1/4" tall made of vintage pile fabric, fully jointed, face shading, white embroidered eye accents. Her little panda is made of velour, also fully jointed and just under 2" tall.
Brenda, I suffered from tendonitis in both elbows for over a year - brought on by carrying weights that were too heavy for me when walking and then aggravated when I tried to carry on making bears. I had to quit for a while and then moved to only minis which were easier to stuff. I tried all kinds of approaches and NOTHING worked for me - in fact when I started physio that made it worse. At my worst I couldn't lift a coffee cup with either hand - had to drink my coffee through a straw! The Physiotherapist did something to my neck in her treatments and then I suffered constant neck pain for a year when she said she could nothing more for me. I finally heard about NUCCA chiropractory and went for an evaluation. They said they could for sure fix my neck but didn't know if it would help my arms or not - but it DID! That was about 10 years ago and I have been fine ever since - although I carried on with the minis and only occasionally do larger bears as I do feel they are more strain on the arms to stuff firmly. Don't know if it would work for everyone but it sure did work for me. I think you just have to try different things and see what helps - but I KNOW not resting it WILL make it worse!
Glad to see you back, Krista! Hope your husband has a speedy recovery.
It does the exact same thing for me too, Brenda - just a blank screen comes up.
Thanks everyone for all the positive comments! I am having lots of fun with these little bunny rabbits.
Wow, that was a nice surprise, Cyndee! Jack is a wonderful Christmas ornament and how nice of Linda to surprise you with him! I think you did a fine job taking the photos too!
This little bunny rabbit is the first of a series of 4 that I am working on. "Anybunny" is 3 3/4" tall, made of a very soft off-white pile fabric, fully jointed, wired ears, face shading and a vintage rayon ribbon.
Soon to follow will be "Somebunny", "Everybunny", and a cute surprise for "Nobunny"!
I do virtually all my bears on the machine whatever the size- so 1" would be my smallest - but that one didn't have any foot pads and the ones that do, the footpads are sewn in by hand. Sometimes I handsew the heads - for sure if they have gussets and others depending on the fabric.
Hi Louise,
Glad to hear that you are back at the bear making! We've missed you here on TT.
Well, I know I am ultra cautious - but I HAVE had tons of spam and a virus that I had to take my computer in to get fixed up, when I had my previous email address. With my new email address, and my hotmail one, I now rarely get any - but as the old saying goes, once bitten twice shy!
Anyway, I have gone ahead and joined Teddy Bear Artists and Friends and want to thank everyone for their info.
How are you guys able to look at this web site without joining??? All I can see is the front page and can't go any further without signing in or registering - that's why I thought I would ask about it here first and see if I could find what any joiners thought of it.
www.teddybearartists.co.uk. ?????
I just got a message sent from them, sent through one of my listings on Bear Pile, asking if I want to join their group - it is members only and you have to be invited to join so you can't really "see" anything until you do join. I'm not sure if they are in competition with Bear Pile - or if it is just one more place to show off your bears? They did say there is no membership fee. Anyway just thought I'd try to find out if anyone is using the site and what they think before I decide whether to join.
I just listed this little white bunny rabbit, 3 1/2" tall on ebay tonight:
