my two cents worth,,i thought daphne did a spectacular job with the show! terrific attention to detail. the vendors were all very happy..there was a beautiful selection of bears,,the worlds best coffee and donuts for us in the morning,,lovely room with lots of light and space! my sales unfortunately were zilch..and i cannot speak for others but i would give the show another go! maybe at a different time of year? all in all ii had a lovely day ..met some great people,,very positive response from the collectors! daphne bravo!  and hugs deb

sure!  do i have to be awake? or on time? seriously i try but i can only drag the hubby just so fast! sounds like fun! how will i know you? will you wear a red rose in your lapel? do people wear lapels anymore? did i scare everyone else into silence when my picture finally appeared?

Renae..."played with the coyote?!" say what?  many of the books i had my nose in were every book ever written for kids about horses!! my allowance was spent on books!! had every nancy drew! every series you could buy i think!  but a coyote?!

yes ma'am we're staying at the USA inn in wells. i think i uploaded a photo of us..but not sure where it went? how do you girls do that? if it shows up the handsome one is my dh Terry!   deb

hmmmm favorite activity as a child..i always felt older than i was..but i was a tomboy thru and thru!  i still adore reading fantasy ( dragons wizards etc) the boys did more interesting stuff! ICE SKATING!! swimming at the lake & bbq's,, tree climbing..we did neighborhood brd games..days on end..it was a lousy childhood and i dont want to go back but there were some wonderful moments and some people i miss terribly..and MAKING STUFF!! bows and arrows ,paint by number..pom pom animals! any craft stuff!!  see ya saturday!! hugs deb

my english setter hoover taught me more about the important things in life than i knew i had forgotten! he was sweet dog born compltetely deaf..we had him 12 years..and i would look over and catch him sitting staring at something and it was alwasy some silly setail ofthe day i had missed!  30 different species of birds bathing in the puddle outside..a pretty moth.. a deer sneaking thru the yard..
i agree thats what making bears is about ..staying a child inside and sharing that with our buyers!! so jump in the puddles play in the snow and daphne the show will be fine! its maine! its summer! we have bears!! see ya there! hugs deb

Hey Judy two girls i work with decided last week that they were having a boring summer and were due for a "road trip"..guess where they went?!  the mall of America! they' re driving from vt with two teenage girls along..,going to shop til they drop! and let me tell you they know how to shop!! we heard how many shoe shops there were there! they have a real shoe fetish those two!!
not my cup of tea..unless there's a BOOK STORE :}:}:}  my downfall!!   deb

i have just been laughing myself sick at all these posts! i needed a laugh today,,im sory penny for the waton murder of your garden..i too love daphnes idea of the statue,,humour is the way i deal with mine too..they just dont listen!  when they say "im not thinking about anything..i'm just sitting here.." they mean it!! without women theyd spiral out of the good chain entirely!!!  hang in there!  hugs deb

Beautiful daughter Judi!! coming from Vermont i can totally appreciate how much work they both went thru to do this! yo have a right to be proud and how great that dad spent so much time helping too! thats what parents and family should be!! lovely photo! talents all around in your family huh?!  hugs deb

Celena a friend of mine needs b6 or b12 shots on a regular basis as that defieciency is the main cause of her horrid migraines! other advice was great too,,i think they covered it!  good luck and i wouldnt wish that kind of pain on anyone! i have the allergy kind and i could honestly shoot myself when i get them! ice works better than a bullet however! :):) less side effects!:):):)  deb

Having done this many times and having read all the great advice already given all i can add is my sympathy! sincerely!  the worst bite i ever got was from giving a cat a pill!
mine hates to be laid on her back towel or no...she feels more in control if i let her sit with her back to me in the crook of my arm..i can still control her that way. hope shes feeling better soon!  deb  ps i had one cat that loved sweet ( with cream and sugar ) tea..and i let her have it when she was sick and wouldnt eat anything else..cats that cant smell ( ie stuffed noses or whatever) wont usually eat by the way...

Judi wouldnt it be nice if our memorials and legacies to these brave young people would prevent the deaths of more of them? not to mention the horrible wounding some of them endure..enough of this ..but the reason we all love bears is their innocence and comfort..no wonder the ww1 soldiers used to carry small pocket sized bears! a friend indeed!   joy to you all..deb

Absolutely we keep all the boys still there and the ones who were hurt or lost in our prayers! I only wish they had all been as lucky as some of us. deb

Thank you all.and shantell i can relate to what you said,,hope no one you know was killed..Task Force Sabre from here in Vt ( dereks unit ) lost 6 members during their deployment..and all they said when they came back was how devastated they were they didnt ALL make it home, i watched one young man just enjoy being rained on..he actually was leaning back savoring the feel of it,,its 135 degrees in Iraq right now..and we've been complaining about the excess rain we've received..made me think of what we take for granted,,BEARS FOR EVERYONE!!!   hugs to all deb

i agree ..the well loved older look is a hook for me every time! i was refering to the bears but come to think of it applies to the hubby to!! Just wanted evryone to know that our son came home safe from Iraq last night!!! couldnt get enough of his baby son! he looks a bit like a deer in headlights..and tired but hes HOME and safe at last ! thank you all for your thoughts and prayers earlier when i posted!!  deb

thanks that actually was a pretty straightforward explantion! Vermont has open studio weekend every memorial day weekend and we always choose a few to scope out,,we did jericho this year and saw some marvelously talented people! there are usually about 200 so you really cant begin to see them all. we pick a "cluster" of studios so we can check out as many as possible. such fun to see what others are doing! Altho you say you make bears and they go "HUH?" 5 of  us are doing a gallery show in that area with 5 quilters also..so hopefully it wont seem so alien by next year!!  deb

eileen dont give up! the avatar is wonderful! i cant get the hang of layers myself..but i kept fooling around with the website until i got it!  i wanted it to be personal and mine,,it was soo rewarding when i finished! when i have a minute id like to try the avattars but not sure what the "rules " are for them?  do you start big and then resize at the end? and do they have to be done in layers ("_"_?!) yikes!  also love the bunnies!! yours and christines!  deb

oooh  i love this group...why cant i play here more?!  my fav movie are old disney ...don knotts and the ghost and mr chicken! for one..new pixar..monster!  we loved the robot who got "cleaned" all the time! dirty dancing! balllroom!footloose! in my heart i can sing and dance,,in reality,,not so much! anything british!  ALL of the above mentioned! i adore bbc and pbs.. anyone ever seen
"lady hawk"?? love that movie! i love older leading men...morgan freeman..sean conner may be the sexiest man alive!..all the men from evening shade the series!  miracle on 34th street..i adore sappy Christmas movies!! ghost..sleepless in seattle ..BIG!!
