we decided against a baby sitter and we're taking the baby with us. We will pay for it with loss of baby sleep but we're going to try it anyway.
No drinking for me as I"m breastfeeding but at least I can make sure everyone gets home safely .

Happy new year everyone!

psichick78

what a great story and a cute elephant! Thanks so much for sharing that.

psichick78

I had 2 teddy bear hamsters and worked in a pet store that sold them. If it makes you feel better they are kind of crazy. I had one that I called Arnie. He would run in his wheel so much that he became all buff and muscular! LOL

I always wanted a soft Gizmo. I had a plastic one but that was it. So my 1st ebay purchase was one........so cute

being there just 9 wks ago I know how special that time is . Congrats!

psichick78

I also love reading, always have. Now that I'm always sitting on the couch breastfeeding I have been able to catch up on some reading. You can only see so many court shows.............LOL

I'm a big fantasy reader. I hate where there is only one book to read. If I like the story I want many books average around 10 in a series. I've missed out on the whole Harry Potter thing though. Seems like a kid story and I'm wondering if all the adults that read it, would also like to read more mature fantasy novels.

My favorite series right now (just waiting for the last and final book ) has been the sword of truth by Terry Goodkind. Some of has been kind of annoying but the story is so original and intersting albeit a little twisted at times. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like there aren't too many fantasy readers here though

psichick78

lucky friend indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have found a new love, these guys!!!!!!!!!!!! you're gettng so good at the nf'd details. wow

psichick78

oh my she's cute! Wow, I love how they captured her smiling.
Guess I'd better take Kail for Santa pics............... bear_wacko I love her Christmas outfit too.

psichick78

wow, you guys make me feel all christmasy. I haven't even thought of putting up decorations yet. Guess I'm in the minority.
Every year we have a mini tree (2 ft maybe), with mini decorations and that's how we like it. This will be our first year as a family for christmas although at just over 2 months it's not like baby is going to care! LOL

So lovely trees, you've put me in a little bit of xmas spirit thanks

psichick78

Yup, thanks Daph. Should be much easier now.

psichick78

Jenn, I didn't know your were preggers. Congrats I hope it goes well for you!!

Wow, thanks for pointing this out Jane.

You ladies are the best, and I love the breastfeeding tips and encouragement I'm getting here. It's tough but I know totally worth it. Heck I haven't carried around my GENEROUS  chest all these years for nothing! LOL

Oops, baby crying........gotta run.

Heather

psichick78

Thanks everyone. Soo nice to be able to pop on here now and again.

Bear show planning still happening.....................FYI

Thanks again. It's soo much fun to play with her and show her off!

psichick78

Hello everyone.
As you know I have had my baby so sorry I haven't been around. I know there are some things I need to do......sorry Bobbie........and emails I need to reply to.
Having a baby is amazing. I do love her more than my dog! LOL But no-one told me breastfeeding is soo demanding. Guess I should just relax and enjoy my cuddle time with her.

Had the birth I wanted........all natural and no c-section which was my biggest fear. Now after giving birth I feel all woman should be wearing medals.......labor was waay more intense than I could've ever imagined.

I'm sure I've missed lots on here............ I can't wait to check out all the new creations I've missed out on.

Anyway...........going to try and catch a nap.........."sleep when baby sleeps" but here are a few pictures.
I'll try and pop on more now........missed you guys.

I love him soo much ! My fav you've ever made.

I also have to get me some of that mohair. Got my samples and it's soo soft!

psichick78

I love to see what everyone cooks!

I'm also a veggie and like Kim have been since I've been very young. I have a million recipes but one that is really healthy is a bean salad. No cooking even!

Open a can of chickpeas and a can of other beans. I like white kidney beans but anything you like. Just open 2 cans of rinsed beans.
To the beans, add lots of raw chopped veg. whatever you have. Celery, carrots, onions, corn, peppers, cauliflower etc.
Then add dressing. I make my own 'healthy' dressing buy juicing and zesting an orange, adding a small bit of honey and olive oil, cumin, garlic and salt and pepper.
BUT you can just add any bottled dressing as well. I have done that in a pinch and it's just fine.
IT's easy to make lots of this and makes a great lunch the next day as well.

psichick78

I am! I'm on there a little more than here lately. Sorry everyone.
I'm curious to see who else is on facebook

psichick78

I guess I'm just cheap! I have  $100 walmart special machine and I love it! Granted I'm not sewing full time but it does everything I need and is lightweight so I can move it easily. I'm sure other machines are better but if you're really on a tight budget, don't worry even a cheap machine will get you started!

psichick78

Yup, i made mine. i used photoshop and dreamweaver. It was great to learn to do and it's always best to have a website without advertising and do be able to do the updates yourself.

psichick78

Sorry I haven't been around much. Baby brain and lots of things to do before the big day.

i was sent this link and HOW COOL!!! Wish I had thought of it and thought maybe you'd get a kick out of it as well.

Hope everyone is doing well.........

Your brother is going to LOVE HIM!!

psichick78

aww, she is my favorite of yours soo far. Those footpads are adorable!!

psichick78

I'm glad you're back! Missed you! I hope things are turning around for the better for you and things begin to look up.
I hear you about the whole charity thing. It's soo sad these days you have to watch out for that, but what do you do.
Anyway, just glad you're back. I've really missed seeing new bears of yours!

psichick78

Hi, not much time but I thought I'd pop in.

I make my liquid squlpy wings by just mixing paint in it and going from there. I've never tried the whole paper transfer thing. I also never bake mine for 15 mins like the package says. I also use a toaster over and bec. it's only in there for 5 mins or so I never notice a foul smell.

Catherine, as far as I know parchment paper. It's the stuff I buy at the grocery store. It's with the plasic wrap and tin foil. It's meant to line baking pans with. It's very non stick so I can see how it would work with what you are trying to do.

Good luck, PM me if you have any more questions
